The second night of Jay Lenos Tonight Show v 2.0 dominated late night again with a 4.6 household rating/12 share in early household metered markets data from 11:30p-12:30a to Lettermans The Late Show 3.1 rating/ 8 share. ABCs Nightline had a 3.0 rating / 7 share and Jimmy Kimmel Live trailed with a 1.7 rating / 5 share.
Adults 18-49 data:
* The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (1.6 rating in adults 18-49) led the time period over CBSs Late Show with David Letterman (1.0) and ABCs Nightline (0.9) in fast national live plus same day ratings from Nielsen Media Research. The Tonight margin over Late Show in fast-national adult 18-49 rating is 60 percent.
Letterman: "Come on, Mitt. Snap out of it. This is live TV.
Stopping dreaming about Chris Wallace and Perez Hilton."
And no one ever thought he’d survive the ‘Bedtime for Bonzo’ jokes. Yeah, I think Reagan laughed last on that one.
Ronald Reagan? Reagan was the governor of the most populated state in the union, with an economy that rivaled most countries. He held that position for two COMPLETE terms. And, he was on the national political stage for the better part of two decades before he was elected to the Presidency. He spoke and wrote extensively all across the country on a variety of complicated issues. Reagan was an earnest man for troubling times.
I'm old enough to remember Ronald Reagan, apparently you aren't.
You're so 19th century.
Kevin may be a decent guy and he’s leaving the show, but politically speaking, all I can remember is when somebody (?) had the whole band dress in black tie the night Obama appeared. Has any band ever done that?
Don’t waste your time. They will never get it. Reagan could articulate his policies and positions with the best of them.
President Lincoln was well-known for his folksy anecdotes and humorous asides. If you knew anything of real history, you would know this too.
Mitt has been hiding under his desk; Sarah has been leading the charge. “There are none so blind as those who refuse to see.”
Love her antique wash jeans. LOL!
I worked in three of his campaigns 76, 80 and 84. You do not understand that Reagan was in every respect a celebrity.
Whatever "manner" he had in public, Lincoln was probably the best writer that has ever held the office, with a towering intellect. If you knew ANYTHING about real history, you would know this too.
Sarah Palin didn't write those jokes, Leno's staff did. She just read them off the teleprompter - isn't that ironic?
I do too! She look fabulous in them!
Just saw a clip of Sarah’s appearance on Leno. She did a stand-up segment. She was good and it was great to hear the audience response.
So now its not about celebrity, but articulation? That sounds like what an Obama voter says. Or Joe Biden.
“I’m old enough to remember Ronald Reagan, apparently you aren’t.”
I bet you are old enough to remember Lincoln.
Saw it this morning at C4P. Great stuff!

On Monday, the Tonight Show had a 5.4/14 (household rating/share) to Lettermans 3.0/8. Does this mean Lindsey Vonn is in the lead for the Republican nomination since she outdrew Palin?
