Everything you need to know about President Obama's commitment to fiscal responsibility and cost containment can be summed up in two words: Andy Stern.
Stern is the corruption-coddling head of the powerful Service Employees International Union. In naming Stern and others to the White House debt commission last week, Obama extolled his appointees as "distinguished individuals" who'll bring a "sense of integrity" to the job. Tell that to rank-and-file SEIU members across the country who have watched their hard-earned dues go down the tubes under Stern's thugocracy.

Great piece by Malkin...as usual. Frankly, I think Glenn Beck said it best when he pointed out that Stern’s appointment to this stupid, show-commission proves that Obama simply isn’t serious about debt reduction.
Glenn Beck showed what has happened to SEIU pension funds since Stern has been at the helm. They’re in freefall.

I am concerned for Glenn Beck’s life. From what I can see, Beck is the ONLY ONE exposing the ugly truth about Obama’s despicable agenda. Our America is crumbling before our eyes. Meanwhile the republicans and dems bicker and fight like sophomores.

This is their attitude towards people who are sick and undergoing treatment, that they will use them and their condition as simply a tool to achieve their goals.
One would think the SEIU membership - sheep though they may be - would be ballistic about his public/private excesses. Guess they feel he’ll get them better payoffs besides just pension stuff. Course, the “little” ones will suffer while the stewards on up get cream.
If you look at the SEIU bylaws you’ll see that the SEIU has very little member control. A good many of those members never even had a choice about joining.
If you don't outrun the competition...you end up not having dinner but being dinner.
Obama defines success not as excellence of performance but as the ownership of power blocs and control.
In Obama's world, there is no accountability or competition to improve performance...there is only control and extortion.
He is quite ill IMO.
I think John Fund hit the nail on the head when he said that Zer0 plans to hold a lame duck congressional session after Nov. 2 to implement the suggestions of the “commission,” most of which will come straight from the White House.
As usual, he is looking for ways to screw the taxpayers while having the ability to blame somebody else for it.
During Phase I, Meany, Fitzsimmons and others were in bed with Nixon. Comes Phase II, only Fitzsimmons continued to play ball with the WH.......Hoffa was pardoned shortly thereafter.
