Mitt Romney had a very, very impressive interview with Sean Hannity last evening that was quite substantial.

It means that he was ACCPETED as a speaker at the NRA, and that means something.

It wasn’t really an FR poll; the fact that Palin only got 102 votes makes that clear, in a real FR poll there are often thousands of votes.

You didn’t address the fact that he is a compulsive liar, how about his lies about being a gun owner and a hunter, lies that he returns to at times as I show in that post. To this day, the multi-millionaire refuses to own a gun himself, yet he did purchase the expensive fig leaf of a life time membership in the NRA, isn’t that just so typical of the slimy poser and political chameleon?

“Romney joined NRA in August
Was advocate of gun control
Presidential candidate Mitt Romney was a former advocate of gun control.

By David Abel, Globe Staff | February 19, 2007

Mitt Romney, who has touted his support of gun owners since launching his presidential campaign, yesterday acknowledged he did not become a member of the National Rifle Association until last August, campaign officials said.

A former advocate of gun control, Romney during his 1994 run for the US Senate backed measures the gun-rights group opposed, such as a five-day waiting period on gun sales and a ban on certain assault weapons.

The former Massachusetts governor has been criticized for changing his positions to appeal to social conservatives voting in Republican primaries. In a nationally broadcast interview yesterday, he also had to explain his switch to a conservative stance on abortion and why he once voted for Democrats in Massachusetts primaries.

Spokesman Kevin Madden said Romney did not join the NRA just to court gun owners, who are considered a force in Republican primary politics.

“He joined the NRA because, like millions of Americans, he supports the group’s advocacy of the Second Amendment and its commitment to education programs promoting the safe use of firearms by law-abiding gun owners,” Madden said.

Asked why Romney joined only a few months before declaring his candidacy, Madden said: “I would argue not many Americans care when you join, but why you join, and I think I’ve made that clear.”

Speaking on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” Romney said he signed up for a life long membership “within the last year.”

“I think they’re doing good things, and I believe in supporting the right to bear arms,” Romney said.”

Mitt Romney:”These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense,” “They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people.”

Actually Mr. Romney, I am sure she has more than one rifle, she does live in Alaska. This shows just what kind of an a**hat Mitt really is. I am sure the Romneybots are all happy with his trashing of Palin.

Spokesman Kevin Madden said Romney did not join the NRA just to court gun owners, who are considered a force in Republican primary politics.

Yeah. Right. Millions would believe you. I swear to God, people who fall for Romney are the biggest suckers on the planet. As I've said before, Eddie Haskell ain't got nothin' on Romney, and suckers who think Romney is just peachy are the kinds of suckers who'd think Eddie Haskell was such a nice young man!!! For heaven's sake, TAKE A LOOK AT YOURSELVES, Romney supporters!

The bolded emphasis (mine) is typical of the condescending, dismissive arrogance of the average Romney supporter, as demonstrated in Madden and as demonstrated by Romney supporters here on Free Republic over the years. The behavior of Romney's supporters speaks volumes about their candidate.

Romney is bad news for the GOP and bad news for America, and only suckers fall for his drivel.

No, even the Dems are smart enough to point out Mitt’s weak points.

Sarah Palin MAY not win, but Mitt CAN not win.

Perhaps the right candidate has not surfaced yet. (We are still 3 years away).

The media is setting Romney up to run, just like they did McCain, to ensure another D victory. (Remember that the NY Times endorsed McCain as the R nominee).

No, even the Dems are smart enough to point out Mitt’s weak points.

The Democrats and Romney are on the same side of the issues (health care, abortion, etc.) that conservatives view as his weak points. How can the Democrats attack him for having the same view as their candidate will have? The only people that will be able to attack him are his conservative primary opponents. But when it comes to the general election, Romney and the Democrats will be on equal ground.

The media is setting Romney up to run, just like they did McCain, to ensure another D victory. (Remember that the NY Times endorsed McCain as the R nominee).

McCain would have won handily if not for the bank collapse and bailout. He came out of the convention with a lead in the polls and managed to squander it when he ran back to Washington to deal with the bank bailout.

Romney said WHAT!??!

Oh....is that all?

Please...........spare me.

I'm sure the Marxocrats know that patriotic Americans are armed. That is scares the crap out of them should be celebrated. Yamamoto knew about patriotic Americans decades ago when he counseled the Japanese warlords to not invade mainland USA since there would be a rifleman behind every blade of grass.
