I thought Joe Biden said that he won the Iraq war. Or maybe it was Barry who did it.

Born on third, this administration thinks it hit a triple in Iraq.

The war has BEEN over ever since Saddam Hussein was toppled.

We have not been fighting against Iraq. We have been fighting alongside the new Iraqi government against terrorists who are funded and trained and supplied by foreign nations.

We’ve won everything: the Messiah has been elected. :)

Thanks for reading Newsweak Freedom’s Lighthouse - that way I don’t have to suffer the outrage.

My brother is in Iraq. He wrote on Saturday that Baghdad has all the usual signs of an impending election in any country: the candidate’s signs, the news, etc. It’s all going reasonably well.

He continues to work on business development projects there, and comes home in three weeks. He has met a lot of capable people with good ideas for meeting the country’s needs. What they really need to develop, though, is better managers, who can exercise their own judgment and take initiative, he says. They are not used to that, since so many had to take orders from higher up, during Hussein’s time.

And of course at the end of the article newsweak states: “Such is America’s dark victory” in Iraq. Fatuist pumpkinheads.

NBC declared with great fanfare in November of 2006 that Iraq was in a civil war. I have yet to hear them change that status.

Questions that Brian Williams should have to answer:

Is Iraq still in a civil war?
If not, which side won?
How was what you attmpted to do any different than your predecessor Cronkite during the “Tet Offensive”?
When will you declare, with equal fanfare, the current status of Iraq’s war?
