Does GOPride support the COTUS? If not, ban them. Otherwise, anyone who supports the Constitution is a friend of mine. A person can be gay and want to keep traditional marriage. Anyone who wants to use the legislative branch to change laws is someone I can work with. I oppose changing the definition of marriage, but I detest judicial activism.
The number one reason conservatives fail with independents is because we appear to hate. Hatred is our enemy.
If we focus on the COTUS we can win. If we allow wedge issues to divide us, we may fail.

GOProud does NOT support traditional marriage. Read their manifesto’s #7 on post#656. NOT Conservatives. Period.
"Wedge issues" such as "don't ask, don't tell," abortion, homosexual marriage, "gay" adoption, being judgmental about homosexual teachings promoted in public schools, etc., etc.

Ryan Sorba speaks for millions of conservatives, just not the pretenders @ GOProud. Hardly damaging "progress" (as you term it), Sorba is a hero who isn't afraid to call out those who aren't true conservatives.
Conservatism isn't merely believing in federal budget cuts and lower taxes and supporting our armed forces -- it is also preservation and advocacy on behalf of family values and basic morality. If you think otherwise you should rethink what it means to be a conservative and posting on a conservative site.
Did you read the GOProud’s agenda? Read it. It isn’t conervative and isn’t about smaller government. They don’t support the Constitution.
