It is outrageous that any competent person who wants to serve in the military cannot

Most gays are vulnerable to blackmail because of their lifestyle. That fact alone makes that them unfit to serve, and in fact, a potential danger to those around them.

That is only true when they are being fired from the military for being gay. Under a don’t ask, don’t flaunt policy, they would not have that problem.
