RIP Charlie - I watched a moving that said you single handily won the cold war, or at least that’s what Tom Hanks et. al. would have us all believe.

He didn't win the Cold War single-handedly, but he did succeed in getting House Democrats to back Reagan's foreign policy in Afghanistan, which was quite a stretch for them.
