However, during the primaries I am not sure they had declared their allegiance as Hillary, Edwards, etc. were still in the race as well as “the one.” So instead of seeking true background info, lazy press just relied on the book and some facts from the few articles that had had the opportunity to see documents prior to the document lockup such as the Sun Times piece on his Indonesian school admission records.
Actually, I was wrong—incredibly, he was only THIRTY-FOUR when “Dreams of my Father” was published in 1995—same year he announced his campaign for the IL Senate. All interesting facts IMHO.
