Genealogists said Friday the Democratic president and the newly elected Massachusetts senator, Scott Brown, are 10th cousins. It was bad enough that President Obama lost his filibuster-proof margin in the U.S. Senate to a Republican. Now it turns out he also lost it to a relative. Genealogists said Friday the Democratic president and the newly elected Massachusetts senator, Scott Brown, are 10th cousins.

Obama said the genealogists “acted stupidly.”
It seems like Obama is related to everyone! I hope I never find out I’m related to him, because then that would mean my precious children and grandchildren would also be related to him.
Brown’s from Kenya?
I think the geneologists are desperately trying to find a bloodline to Mary Magdalen.
I don't blame Scott Brown for this. You can't pick your relatives.
...and as soon as Brown is sworn in, Obama will be throwing him under the bus with his white racist grandmother! Because family should be together, you know!
Boy, that's tough for him. He actually owes himself reparations.
If a 10th cousin is a ‘relative’, why not just acknowledge we all come from the same original stock and get it over with? Barry and I are relatives too! Thankfully that doesn’t mean we share ideologies.
If I were Senator Brown, I’d demand a recount!
How did they find those records?
Terrific question!
“I think the geneologists are desperately trying to find a bloodline to Mary Magdalen.”
LOL Do they give out “Post of the Year” awards here at Free Republic? This should win it!
I am actually related to him - distant cousin of some sort but I never tell people that I am. Not something I am proud of.
Barry’s minions are re-writing his birth certificate as we speak!
Dom Delouise is my cousin!
Barbara Bush and both Presidents Bush are distant cousins of President Franklin Pierce (Pierce is Barbara Bush's maiden name.) None of President Pierce's children lived to maturity, so he has no living descendants, but that hasn't stopped the New York Times from repeatedly calling George W. Bush a descendant of Franklin Pierce.
In fact, George H. W. Bush is a 4th cousin, 7 times removed, of Benedict Arnold (so George W. Bush would be a 4th cousin, 8 times removed). As far as I know, the NYT has never tried to use that relationship against either of the Bushes--whether they don't know who Benedict Arnold was, or they think being a traitor is a positive recommendation.
"NORTH" Kenya, where all da white wimin izat.
Yeah, and Obama is my 20th cousin. Seriously, do these geneologists not have anything better to do? Let me guess, they were given stimulus money to sit around doing this type of research
