DNC Chairman Kaine Lies about Jobs Situation
Examiner.com ^ | 01/28/10 | Rob Binsrick

This morning on the ‘Fox & Friends’ news show, DNC Chairman Tim Kaine told yet another lie about the nation’s job situation. Kaine was talking about the performance of last year’s jobs ‘stimulus’ bill. During that segment he made these statements:

The stimulus bill is the reason why we’re not losing 800,000 jobs a month like we were a year ago.

Again, we were losing 800,000 a month a year ago.

Actually, those statements are blatant lies. The worst month for job losses since the beginning of the current recession was last January when 741,000 net jobs were lost (www.bls.gov). In no other month were net job losses over 700,000 far less being “800,000 a month” as Kaine suggested.

So it appears now that since Barack Obama and the other Democrats cannot provide any real evidence that the first stimulus bill has actually produced any net job gains, they are resorting to stating lies about the level of job losses in the past. Apparently they are thinking that if they paint a worse picture of the situation before Obama took office then it will make his dismal jobs look better.

If this were some ill-informed, unimportant member of the Democrat Party then such behavior could be excused. However, this is Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, so he should know the facts and he should know better than to put out lies and distortions about an issue so important jobs to the American people. But then again, he is most likely just following the pattern of his party’s de facto leader, Barack Obama.

Last night the patronizer in chief used “the last two years” to make his economic points about how bad things are

I guess next year, it will be “over the last 3 years”

It is getting harder and harder to keep blaming Bush in his excuses, but the stuck-on-stupid keep nodding and clapping when he does

Nobody ever paid any attention to The Eyebrow. At least he’s no longer running things in Richmond.

Tim “the eyebrow” Kaine lies .... nothing new here. At least he’s not Va’s Gov any more - the DNC can have “all” of him.

From Obama's SOTU: Because of the steps we took, there are about two million Americans working right now who would otherwise be unemployed.

Actually, Obama said at the time that if the Stimulus package failed to pass, unemployment could go as high as 9%. But, he assured us, with the Stimulus package, unemployment would be kept below 8%.

Well, he got the Stimulus he wanted, and unemployment went over 10%. And now he claims that he saved two million jobs through his efforts.

He is just a BS artist. The president has no interest in telling us the truth -- he's just trying to work the audience like a demogogue.

It's a waste of time to debate how many jobs were saved or not. It's all smoke and mirrors anyway. Obama's people are literally making up places that don't exist and saying jobs were created there. Last weekend he had 3 members of his admin go out and they all spouted different numbers, from thousands to millions. It's all a smoke screen and doesn't matter.

What does matter is NET jobs. Which means if Obama claims he's saved 1 trillion jobs he's still lost a net of several million just in the year he's been president. NET change is all that's important.

The Dems LIE like a rug. Anymore it’s expected of them, and we are becoming numb to it all. We need to walk on their rug, “H” we need to stomp on their rug.

It’s beyond time to expose to those of the you-give-to-me caste exactly what they are getting from the Dems, and that is the shaft.

We should not give up exposing the Leftist lies, but we should also emphasize what it is the caste members give up for the alleged freebies the Socialist-Democrats are claiming to provide them. Their freedoms, their privacy, their incentive, their humanity. They become herd animals under the non-compassionate care of Leftist bureaucracy.

They become “good enough for government work”.

One thing that people should be asking about his high speed rail fantasy is, “Where do they expect to get the land for it?”.

After all, high speed rail can’t run on the same track as freight so they’ll need new railbeds for it. Also 8 billion for it is a joke to begin with.

The stimulus bill is the reason why we’re not losing 800,000 jobs a month like we were a year ago

How did they come up with this number? And why aren’t folks at FOX asking this question?

The job loss in January 2009 was the direct result of his election.

One thing that people should be asking about his high speed rail fantasy is, “Where do they expect to get the land for it?”.

Ironically, just as I turned on the computer I also turned on Fox news and some democrat talking head was talking up the high speed rail (in regards to job creation) and he said Europe has it and we need to be competitive. To anyone with a brain that is just plain silly. We are not competing with Europe for high speed rail passengers...so what are they competing on?! Is it just a matter of keeping up with the Jones'? Do libs want high speed rail because Europeans have it? Do they not grasp that European nations that have high speed rail are the tiniest fraction of the size of the US? And do we really need to spend that much money for the small amount of people who would use it?

And as for the point the guy was making about it being an example of jobs created by government...no, it's a temporary project. People will be hired for the short term to build it, but it's not permanent positions.
