(LEAD) N. Korea restarts artillery firing near western sea border: official

SEOUL, Jan. 28 (Yonhap) -- North Korea on Thursday resumed firing artillery shells toward a South Korean island near the inter-Korean maritime border in the Yellow Sea, a defense official in Seoul said.

North Korea began to shoot toward the South Korean island of Yeonpyeong from 8:15 a.m., with all the shells landing in the North's own waters north of the Northern Limit Line (NLL), the Seoul official said, requesting anonymity as he was unauthorized to speak to media.

They should really have a go and settle this. I have no dog in the fight if we could just get out troops out of southern South Korea and move them to the Mexican Border. Then call us when its over.

Obozo can’t wait to bow — nice and low — to Kim Jong-Il.

The Red Chinese would do everything to stop nukes from being used at this time. But if Nk does start, it would look like a good time to buy corn , wheat and other seeds. And start praying.

Exactly. That’s the problem with these situations. While it may not start out as something as huge as WW1 or WW2, it eventually dominoed into it. It’s amazing how one side of the world can effect the other so drastically.

However, NK and SK war would affect what we import and we all just may realize exactly how much (EVERYTHING?) we import from China. And with our ‘breadbasket’ being gone this season (San Juaquin Valley), we would be relying even more heavily on Chinese food imports.

Seriously people, STOCK UP.

Given the difference of height between the two, the right thing to do is to pet Chia Head on the head, but you are right. If they ever meet, Zero would bow to Chia Head at extremely low angle.:-)

Hmm...it’s a cause for concern...but not a LOT of concern. Sort of like...Kabuki, but for a flash, someone shows a little leg —nothing more.

They want moooooooney, like always.

Ho-hum...

Looks like somebody from an NGO (Non-Government Organisation) just got too close to the border. Probably dealing with North Koreans who want to get into China.

Still bad timing for the American.

WW1 is a good example of the domino thing.
The good thing is that Americans have the brains to overcome things. The bad thing is that it would take a long time to ramp up production for a lot of things.
It is a shame that we have become dependant on other countries. We have enough resources here without having to rely on China and the middle east. But we have been stifled due to ecno-weenies and unions. And dont even get me started on the government.
