Former GOP Presidential candidate John McCain just announced his intention to vote against Ben Bernanke.

How come?

Meet JD Hayworth.

He's a Newt Gingrich, class of '94 Republican whose run in Congress ended in the Republican wipeout year of 2006.

So, the fiercely conservative Republican went into talk radio. And just last week he announced his intention to run against McCain in the primary.

And the reality is that McCain should be freaked out.

Hardcore Arizona Republicans have never particularly like McCain, and left and right, mainstream GOPers are getting knocked out by principled conservatives.

That's the political dynamic in Arizona, and that's why Bernanke just lost another vote.

Yep, Hayworth was in the Abramoff class of 2006.

I really don't understand how anyone can think Hayworth, with his Abramoff history, and having been booted out for such in 2006, is going to fare well in the anti-establishment mood of 2010.

McCain would pull a Specter if he thought it would keep him in office. McCain really needs to be replaced.

As I’ve psted a number of times, McNuts is scared! Why have Sarah come in to campaign for him and have Scott Brown do robo calls, if he thought he was shoe-in! J.D. is the conservatives conservative!

LOL! Yep, that would explain it.

Never seen a picture of J.D. Hayworth. He looks to be younger than I figured he would be.

Not that that’s necessarily a bad thing.

Please educate the forum and name one substantial allegation.

Defeat McShame, OUT! I don’t care if Sarah endorses him, defeat him, GO J.D.! I think he can win this given the mood these days.

Doesn’t matter. It took him down in 2006 and will hold him down in 2010 - not necessarily in the primary, but the Dems would roast him in the general. There has to be someone clean, from the state legislature, who can take on McCain.

Between this, the Scott Brown robocalls and the Palin endorsement, methinks someone has been getting some very bad internal polling...

I just heard an interview with JD. I like him, he’s a straight shooter with a razors edge. He’s got a web site coming up soon JD2010.COM. TRUST is the word coming into November. Mccain has proven he can’t be trusted.
