As do I, calex59. Your analyses and arguments are spot on. Unfortunately, you are one of the few remaining people on FR who still make the effort to explain and warn people about bigger picture and diabolical implications of all these various government "Wars on .... Whatever". Most of those who used to make similar attempts have either been hounded away or have given up and lapsed into lurk mode.
Unfortunately, although I respect you greatly, you're fighting for a lost cause, specifically the cause of freedom, individual rights and limited government operating under the rule of law. Whether it's the "War on Drugs", "War on Poverty", "War on Crime", "War on Terror", "War on Climate Change", etc., etc., the sad truth is that most of your fellow Americans are no longer capable of recognizing that all of these so-called "Wars" are being used as Trojan horses by the elites to effect a massive transfer of power over almost every aspect of people's lives to centralized, autocratic government control.
While it is true that some drug dealers get busted, some criminals get caught, some children get school lunches and "educational" instruction, some terrorists get killed, etc., etc., it is all being done at the cost of individual freedom. And, the final, brutal irony is that despite all these "Wars" which we're allowing our government to wage in order to "save us", they're not working, yet the American people keep clamoring for more of the same. The denial, and their fear of their own government is simply too ingrained now for them to face reality anymore.
So, thanks again for your efforts - Churchill would understand, and be proud of you as well...
I assume you have no idea where I stand on most issues. I see the big picture perfectly.
