Corpus Christi, TX Jessica-Puente Bradshaw, Republican Congressional candidate in the 27th district of Texas, made the following statement on Scott Browns historic victory to the United States Senate.
People all across the country are tired of watching their personal liberties and freedoms decrease, while the size of the federal government increases. Scott Browns victory tonight is the beginning of the new Republican Revolution in 2010.
Jessica Puente-Bradshaw is committed to returning the nation to the principles the founding fathers incorporated in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. A kindred spirit to Senator-elect Brown, Bradshaw is dedicated to reclaiming our nation from those who would destroy it from within.
Jessica-Puente Bradshaw has been an educator, an entrepreneur, is a mother of two, and devoted wife of 15 years to her wonderful husband Jonathan. Growing up in Brownsville, TX, her values were shaped by a childhood rooted in faith, family, community and South Texas common-sense.
The Republican Primary for congressional district 27 is March 2, 2010.

Good luck to Jessica in unseating Solomon Ortiz. The district went for President Bush in 2004 and a Hispanic conservative Republican can certainly be competitive this November. That being said, the pro-life Democrat Ortiz will be tough to beat.
Hopefully, Ms. Bradshaw, the Republican party won't be able to co-opt this movement ... or it's energy ... because it's NOT about them.
After Ben Nelson's shameless actions in the Senate, I will never again give any credibility to the phrase "pro-life Democrat."
That sentence stood out to me as well.
