The young people aren't liking this hope and change thing too much. I guess graduating college with student loan debt, no jobs and the thought of being forced to purchase health insurance at high premiums to help pay for the uninsured isn't appealing to them.
To your last statement, YES WE CAN!
That’s political suicide in Boston, is it not?
This is the bluest state in the union!
This is the start of a true revolution!
Is not Ted Kennedys seat. If it were Ted Kennedys seat it would be upside-down and underwater.
He also cheated Brad Delp out of money who died broke.
His good looks aren’t hurting him one bit. Personally, I think people do tend to vote for the better looking candidate. I could be wrong. I also think JFK was a good looking man, and that sure didn’t hurt him as far as winning elections.
Why send an ugly, pinch-faced candidate to DC who believes the opposite of what the voters want, when you can send a hottie like Scott, who does represent most of your views? Its a no-brainer.
Sorry, if I’m being superficial, but, I do tend to think that the better looking candidate and the taller one usually wins. Most all of our presidents have been tall. I think we only had one short guy and can’t remember who it was right now.
THRILLING!!!!!
LOL.
How many “you betcha” replies?
You're right; the ending of abortion is "not that important", it is critical to the fabric of the United States. Abortion must end, and hopefully Scott Brown is fully-on the pro-life/anti-abortion team. There is no such thing as being ok with a woman "choosing" to kill the innocent unborn, and there is no possible way to defend or justify such an action.
You're spot on. Research bears out what you say.
Said the NYT, "The surest way to predict the winner in a U.S. election is to bet on the taller."
Our tallest president was Abraham Lincoln at 6'4". He was followed by Lyndon Johnson who was 6'3 1/2". President Washington was 6'2 as was GHW Bush.
President Reagan was 6'1", JFK was an even 6 feet as is GWB. Jimmuh Cahtah is not too much a peanut at 5'9".
The shortest U.S. president was James Madison at 5'4".
Go, Scotty Brown, you tall, handsome drink of water, LOL.
Leni
I am personally pro-life, but there are many issues much more important in this election. Scott Brown will be a consistent vote on the majority of conservative issues. RvW will only be overturned by the SCOTUS, not congress. Scott will vote to confirm conservative judges, that’s where he can help the most with RvW.
Just amazing how so-called conservatives start posting this kind of stuff on Free Republic whenever some new GOP Messiah of the "pro-choice" persuasion pops on the scene. Remember Rudy? (Oh, we don't have to remember, do we, since he has been out campaigning for Scott Brown?)
Good job if Brown can put another roadblock in Obama's path, but he is no more the Chosen One than the godless goofball we elected to lead the country. In fact, he's a lot like the kind of New England Republicans who get blasted as RINOs all the time here.
You need to learn some manners. Disagreeing with you does not make people “nitwits.”
Abortion is extremely important. In addition, it is just the tip of the life-issues iceberg; wait till Obamacare brings us euthanasia, including involuntary euthanasia of the mentally defective and the young, and the withdrawal of treatment or life support for the handicapped. Abortion is a tool of the state and part of the project of converting human beings with God-given rights into passive things that are valuable only as economic units of the state.
As I said, I sent money to Brown because the way that I look at it is that there will be more abortions with a Dem majority no matter what Brown’s opinion is, so we’re better off with him. And maybe it will be possible to change his mind or make him aware of the depth of the issue.
You should probably read and think a bit more about it yourself.
If you would ask the child 20 years down the road if he would chose his abortion or his life, most likely he would chose life. So, yes I am definitely Pro-Choice.
I like confusing Pro-Abortionists that way. They just look at me quite stunned.
Tell them, “The Trend is Your Friend.”
Personally I wouldn't give a damn if it were the Hunchback of Notre Dame if that person was in line with the Constitution of the United States. Sorry...this is where I depart...and really am saddened/disheartened that 'looks' mean more to some, than our very liberty. Apprarently, though...I am in minority status here (can I get benefits for that????/s). Personally, man or woman, I want an individual to stand up for right. That's my litmus test.......Not Looks.....
I’m not saying that I believe looks are more important. But, sadly, a lot of Americans are very superficial. I was just making a point. Please don’t take yourself so seriously. I, too, vote for the person, not what they look like or how tall they are. My attempt at snark, apparently, didn’t click with you.
