We have a local group called the Show Me 9-12 Project at meetup.com. We have a couple freepers and several who will be easily recruited when they know how passionate we are about stopping the madness. We have met 3 times and have another meeting scheduled next Tuesday in California, Missouri. Strategy is already being plotted.

We would more than welcome any freepers or anyone else for that matter because this effort is going to require EVERYONE to take back our country. Think of us as the NEW PATRIOTS and not just freepers or tea party. No one single group is enough to win. It takes everyone working together.

Correction: Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer was elected in 2008 to fill the federal House seat for the 9th District (when Kenny Hulshof ran for governor). Rep. Luetkemeyer is still in the US House of Representatives and he is a GREAT conservative.

Rep. Brian Nieves, who is term-limited in the MO House of Representatives, and Col. Jack Jackson, former member of the MO House of Representatives who quit to run for state auditor (and lost), are running for the MO Senate seat in the 26th Senatorial District, currently held by Sen. John Griesheimer, also term-limited.

IMO, all three of these men are great conservatives and would be worthy of election to the seats for which they are running.

When I was visiting offices on Wednesday after the Patriot's rally in the rotunda, one of the staffers gave me the website addresses for people to keep up with legislation, committee-meeting schedules, etc.

For House bills, go to www.house.mo.gov

For Senate bills, go to www.senate.mo.gov

I apologize that I do not know how to create links! If everyone bookmarks those sites and checks them regularly, perhaps we can gather an army of patriots and Freepers on short notice to go to Jefferson City when something of interest and/or major importance is being discussed or voted on.

The rally on Wednesday was fun and fantastic. But unless we continue to make our presence known and keep the pressure on, legislators of both parties may become weak-kneed. Also, by periodically walking the halls of the capital, we will provide moral and physical support for legislators like Nieves and Cunningham, et al, to continue to stand firm for the positions we support.

UPDATE: John Griesheimer....I deeply apologize for this glaring error. There’s no excuse. But Griesheimer is at the end due to term limits....26th District.

Now excuse me while I go pull my head out of my rear. Ty

Absolutely. Our jobs will never be over.......even after elections (and God willing we are victorious). Like I said to another FReeper...we can never again blindly trust who we elect.
You are right on and thx for the links!

Need to keep this map front and center for our group. Surprisingly some don’t know what district they are in.

Rob Schaaf is running for State Senator for the 34th District (up here in NW Missouri). He has been our state Representative for the past several years and has definitely established his conservative credentials. He is a doctor, and firmly believes in the free market way of doing things.

He is running against Martin Rucker, another state Representative whose main claim to fame is that his sons played football (really well) for one of our local high schools and the University of Missouri. I honestly don’t know anything he’s done at the state level, but as a current member of the local school board, he’s a textbook liberal who believes spending public money is the answer to everything.

I am not a member of Dr. Schaaf’s campaign, but sending him to the state senate to replace a retiring democrat would help maintain Missouri’s conservative state legislature.

O_man, I checked both state and national House rosters and didn't find anyone with that, or a similar, name. May be a late addition, but not posted. Not important, just sayin'

All: based on the locations of the responders we've received so far and on my limited knowledge of the state, perhaps a meeting in Rolla would work. It would be a bit-of-a-drive for everyone. I know there's a Denny's near the I-44 exit (assuming it's still open) where we could meet. However, I don't remember if they have a separate meeting room, or if we'd have to simply gather in the main dining room. Late-lunch on a Saturday might work: could drive to Rolla, meet about 2 pm, and drive home same day.

(PS: I'm not available until February.)

Just noticed your post. I suspect there’s a good chance Rolla won’t work for you. How about Jeff City or Columbia?

Representative Blaine Luetkemeyer, 9th district has been outstanding IMO. I like him better than Hulshof.

He has been having tele-town halls. Calling system calls your phone, you press a key sequence if you want to ask a question. Calls go in a queue. First session had a number of well informed questioners, the second session was full of whiny looters. Made me sad and mad to listen to these fools that can vote.

Blaine handle the calls well even if they are ripping him a new one because the government is not wiping their rear ends to their specifications.

If you have a question and don’t get called on due to time constraint, someone from his office calls you the next day to get an answer to your question.
