This reluctance to meet people is just odd for a politician. Regardless of political party, real politicians are typically attention hungry and love to be shaking hands with people, or at least love to be seen shaking hands with people. I can’t think of any women politicians who dive in and enjoy meeting regular people, except for Sarah Palin.
