If restriction of Religious Freedom is part of any party or movement's platform then, yes, you can count me out.
Religious Liberty is the Cornerstone of the Republic.
Without Religious Liberty you are doomed to all manner of Tyranny.
Yes, it is THAT important to me, and it should be THAT important to everyone.
Personally, I dont consider a place where people go to incite murder/war against the American people a legitimate house of worship. Do you?
You don't outlaw the building of religious houses of worship, you outlaw the incitement to murder and war against the American People. As far as I can tell, that is the current state of the law.
Perhaps we need better enforcement to ensure that that kind of rhetoric is not preached from the pulpits of the Churches or Mosques, but if you recall, Jeremiah Wright has been preaching that kind of hatred from a so-called Christian Church, has he not? Should we then prevent the Church of Christ, the denomination to which he is affiliated, from building Churches simply because there are Jeremiah Wrights among its leadership?
Sorry I may disagree with the Muslims on their religious beliefs, but I will defend to the death their right to believe it. When the Muslim tramps on my rights as a Christian, you can bet I will be there to defend to the death the Christian's right to believe what they believe.
“Sorry I may disagree with the Muslims on their religious beliefs, but I will defend to the death their right to believe it. When the Muslim tramps on my rights as a Christian, you can bet I will be there to defend to the death the Christian’s right to believe what they believe.”
Odd phraseology since defending their right to kill you to YOUR death is eminently possible.
Have you watched the news today? In Malaysia, muslims are rioting because Christians dared to call GOD Allah.
Did you see that Coptic Christians were just murdered in their CHURCH in Egypt?
They have already staged several attacks on Jewish places of worship here in this country. Are you going to defend them when they attack a Christian church that is not of your denomination? Where do you draw your line?
It isn’t a matter of banning the religion. It’s a matter of banning the people who want to kill us. The Pilgrims (and I am one of them) made that dangerous voyage because they did not want a state religion. A state religion is exactly what the Muslims want to do to this country, and we cannot let them do that. There are other religions in this country which we tolerate very well, but they aren’t trying to make us a Buddist or a Hindu.
