Sure... Didn’t Castro also claim that he was not a communist?
Prospective despots are known to say whatever they want to say to get into power.
Wouldn’t you rather have a Democracy or a Republic?
and a Zoroastrian one at that....
Iran ping
Imagine there’s no burkas...
It’s easy if you try
No muslim’s flying with us
Trying to blow us out of the sky
Imagine there’s no jihad
It’s easy if you try
No muslims flying with us
Trying to blow us out of the sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...
Imagine there’s no mullahs
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no evil religion too
Imagine all the Iranians
Living life in peace...
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no mad bombers
I wonder if you can
No need for searches or profiling
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world... you oohhh
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one
Good planning.
Complex problems over there.
I am NO expert in matters Iranian/Persian but what little I know concurs with this assessment. The regime went a bit too far...
Don't expect any help from the American media. They don't even know the meaning of the word "truth," and are in complete bondage to the left-wing government they helped to impose on us.
But that aint gonna happen. Our leaders don't want to fight tyranny. Our leaders embrace tyranny.
Imagine a democratic Iran and a democratic Iraq sitting right next to each other. Talk about a radical improvement over the way it was. And Hezbollah without its Iranian patron would be much weaker, which would help the democratic forces within Lebanon. The regime in Syria would be weakened as well. All kinds of upsides.
These interviews, along with publication of the Khamenei expose should help inform the West about the complexity of the situation in Iran. See exposee:

Pigs are nowhere even near the runway for takeoff.
This guy is an intelligence guy but his predictions read like a wish list of Western hopes not the actual situation. Of course some of the events lately could lead to a revolt but we haven’t even seen that yet. It’s been resistance and chanting but not outright crowds aiming to overthrow the government.
Now it could be inevitable but the real question remains: if the Iranian people can pull it off, what replaces the current roster of mullahs?
I’m a little hopeful but don’t share the optimism of this guy. He’s a dissenter to the system and needs allies outside of Iran. Singing this song makes him a lot of friends. Good for him but this is not even close enough to revolution yet.
If it could happen, the events of the planet could be changed for the better. Obama gives me no confidence either. None at all. I’m afraid the mullahs become more brutal internally and Israel forced to take drastic action soon after.
