Dodd may drop out and make room for a democrat that can win.

Rove is not a genius and he did us no favors. Rove told Bush to push for amnesty. If Rove was so smart - he would have seen the Soros, Fannie/Freddie, Sandler, short hedge fund set up coming with the financial melt down.

McCain and Crist need to be booted in the primaries.

I think congress has acknowledged the threat to their power base. Although they merrily prance along gayly proclaiming that they are loved and adored by their bribed constituents.

Shock time is coming. The storm is gathering strength. The rebuke of Marxism will be decisive.

“COOK: His problem is being a Democrat. His problem is being Chris Dodd.”

Dodd is a POS.

I thought Rove was a genius too, until Bush blew his wad on a lame and abortive effort to reform social security, and went wobbly on just about everything else. Bush's last four years were pretty much a waste.

Independence. Stress your independence. I look at each issue one at a time. I‘d do what‘s right for the state. I‘m independent. Yes, I vote with my party when I think they‘re right. I‘m against them when they‘re wrong. Be able to list—
That's why Ben loser Nelson CAN NOT win again in this state..that has been his mantra - but obviously he didn't mean it at all... If I were "Coachings the repubs I would use Nelson's vote against any dem who says he/she/it is an independant..have Nebraska voters in the commercial saying Ya thats what Ben told us too.....

COOK: I would not be surprised to see no Republican incumbent, House or Senate, lose.

I surely hope so, but if that does happen, it won't be due to the efforts of the Republican Party. People are SO pist off at the way things are going, a lot of Independent and Democratic voters will throw the SOBs out in anger. The RINOs will say "See, we can win by pulling our same old "big tent" and "reach across the aisle" B/S. We don't need to change." And thus they will blow any chances for further inroads in 2012, and maybe even lose a few they gained in 2010. I don't see any winds of change coming over these people and they will continue to blow election after election.

Let's look at last year's race in Virginia. There are three real interesting things that occurred that went under or not reported. First, the statewide Republican candidates (Gov., Lt. Gov., and AG) won by very large margins. Secondly and more important, the statewide Republican candidates are not RINOs IMHO. It is the most conservative statewide ticket I have ever seen in the Commonwealth. I believe the the Attorney General will demonstrate some amazing principles.

Thirdly and most important is the incumbent story - but in the House of Delegates. In Virginia, there is an election at some level every year. The 100 members of the House of Delegates are elected for two year terms. In the last ten years, ten incumbents have lost House of Delegate seats. In last year's election, nine lost which shows a change. Eight incumbent Democrats lost and one Republican lost. The one Republican incumbent that lost, Phil Hamilton, was and is under federal investigation. I trust what last November's election in Virginia shows is that conservatives that are principled will win in the future this year - and in coming years.

It would be great if Chris Matthews finds himself fired in 2010...that would be really sweet. His ratings along with Larry King’s are absolutely dismal and there is no excuse for either of them to maintain a daily show. It’s all about sending out a marxist/neo-communist message...they don’t even care who says it.

Senate Majority leader does seem to be a shaky position. If I were a senator interested in staying in the Senate, I wouldn’t want that gig. Maybe they take that job when they’re ready to cash out. Get all the bribes you can, while you can, and prepare to lose.

Bush last 4 years sucked. He could have been more Reagan 2 but he turned into Poppy 2. His support of amnesty did it for me. After that he was done.

Any time I was in a leadership position and was moving on, I always considered my successor as part of my legacy. I did everything I could to ensure that my successor was a high quality person who would continue the policies I had established. Granted, a president can’t directly control who his successor will be, but if they leave on good terms with America, the chances are they at least secure a win for their party, for what that’s worth.

His first 4 years weren’t so hot either, really. Temporary tax cuts passed on Keynesian grounds. I think there was also a round of gubmint stimulus checks. The worst attack in US history. What were the good points of the first term?
