WashingtonSource was referring to the DUTCH guy who put out the wouldbe explosive fire on the terrorist’s legs and kept him immobilized. The Terrorist was a rich Nigerian boy, the hero on the plane was indeed DUTCH —from Holland===NOT Danish-—from Denmark.

Lots of people missing the point in favor of the feelgood story. NOBODY stopped the terrorist act. It failed of its own volition when the explosive fizzled.
Taking away nothing from the courage of tackling the terrorist, but had the explosive worked they’d never have been able to act. The plane would have crashed.

One story I read said the passenger pulled the container away from the guy. If thats true its possible he averted disaster.
The liberals are half right.
Many do what they do because they have nothing to lose no property, no life. But it isn't America that keeps them poor. Its their own home countries that keep them poor with their anti-capitalist views.
Look at the difference between Pakistan and India. India has embraced Capitalism and their people for the most part want nothing to do with terror tactics. Pakistan on the other hand is the direct opposite and a hotbed of terrorism.
Maybe Obama could write them a letter...

Unfortunately, you are correct. If we are no longer able to effectively interrogate these Islamists, there's no point in bringing them in. Kill them in the field, on the boat or in the airplane. Just save everybody a lot of trouble and expense.
Somehow, I suspect our boys in Ratznestistan will instinctively know this and act accordingly. I expect captures to drop precipitously, while kills grow apace!
