Mounting evidence links UK to plane attack in States

THIS is the terrorist who tried to blow up a packed jumbo jet over America being seized by cops.
The dramatic picture shows Umar Abdul Mutallab moments after Northwest Airlines flight 253 landed safely in Detroit on Christmas Day.
As Scotland Yard yesterday swooped on a £4 million West End flat, US authorities named the 23-year-old as a rich Nigerian banker's son who studied at a London university.
Mutallab, burnt by what experts say was a "new type of explosive device" strapped to his leg, was foiled by hero passenger Jasper Schuringa.
US officials charged Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab, 23, with attempting to detonate a bomb strapped to his leg - and activated with a syringe of chemicals - on the Airbus 330 flying from Amsterdam.
STUDENT DIGS? Mutallab's £4m London home Agents last night wheelchaired Mutallab into a conference room at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor - where he is being treated for burns - so he could be read the charges.
Judge Paul Borman asked Mutallab if he understood the charges. He responded in English: "Yes, I do."

When the father reported him to US and Nigerian authorities, he should have cancelled his credit cards at the same time. He “thought he was in Yeman.” Right. Your son does not have a day job or any other responsibilities. You know your son is going off the deep end of Islam, YET you keep bankrolling him even after he goes to Yemen, and even after you report him as a menace to two governments. There is a phrase in Spanish, “hijo de papi,” Daddy’s boy, which basically means a guy whose finances and social or professional position is owed entirely to his father, and is not the result of anything he has ever done himself. This guy sounds like a classic hijo de papi.
After eight years and all those billions, it is eventually left still up to the citizen to protect himself from terrorists, because the Fed has never made up its collective mind to do what is necessary.
Better start triple checking all blonde hair and blue eyed passengers before boarding. THAT WILL SURE FIX IT!
