To President Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature,

The U.S. Post Service was established in 1775. You have had 234 years to get it right and it is broke.

Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke.

Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get it right and it is broke.

War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor" and they are still poor.

Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 44 years to get it right and they are broke.

Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get it right and it is broke.

The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.

You have FAILED in every "Government Service" you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars: AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM??

Brother, you need to make that into a political ad for the upcoming mid term elections. That short missive speaks volumes against the career politicians.

Hell, it gets me so mad, I’m looking for a rope right now.

Keep up the good work!!!!!

“AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM??”

They don’t care what we ‘want’.

Its about power and money, transferring ours to them.

The only part of government that operates efficiently and effectively is tax collection.

Technically, it isn’t broke because it has unlimited access to our money. Broke would mean it has no money.

>>Hell, it gets me so mad, I’m looking for a rope right now.<<

When it gets bad enough, these guys really will start fearing for their lives. In my state (Washington) it is irrelevant. But if one of my senators had caved like this, well...as Celente says, “When people lose everything and have nothing to lose, they lose it.”

Why do you think they keep extending unemployment benefits?

It would be reasonable to expect politicians to have an Economics degree due to the nature of their job but even those that do are determined to push their agendas over reality. Politicians live in the short term, we live in the long term, so we are continually screwed.

Even if any of those things did work efficiently (not even a chance in reality), we should oppose government expansions on principle. Otherwise we’d just be well-cared-for slaves. The bottom line is this government stealing more and more of people’s autonomy.

Great post. I suggest adding the Dept of Education to that list. Talk about a failed exercise that costs more than any other you listed above...the ignorance of the next generation.

Beautiful... but all of us are operating under the premises that they actually care about us (and are for the USA) and that they are not trying to destroy our economy.

Think about this.

1) Bush tax cuts will expire
2) Now the health care bill will raise taxes
3) Obama along with the congress said the answer to a 1.3 Trillion dollar debt is to go further into debt up to 3 Trillion in a single year.

We also face two possible energy taxes

1) Gloabal tax on CO2 (Money goes to the IMF)
2) Also a tax from Cap and Trade.

Thus we are going into serious debt, and taxes are sky rocketing.

Now do you really believe these people are just that stupid???

As for the Republicans. First I do not trust them. If they were doing the right thing, then Obama would not have been elected in office. Nevertheless, they are like an employee that has good intentions, but just can’t do their job. So we have to let them go as a party.

Vote for conservatives only in 2010.
