Thank you for your attention to this issue.

I think it’s important.

I agree with your comments here, and truly believe most people here do.

You take care.

Thank you PIF. You did such a better, more accurate and realistic job than I.

I wouldn’t bet against these scenarios.

There’s a whole lot of people out there keeping their powder dry.

And there are a lot that are just itching for....

Zero bows to America’s enemies.

This just continues Bush's policy of proping up Fatah.

“You think Obama means no harm to Israel?”

Obama wants Israel to be a secular socialist state subordinate to world socialist government just like he wants the US to be! Obama’s Chicago and NYC PLO-linked buddies are from the secular socialist camp. The far left of the Labor Party in Israel is with Obama on that and would be happy to exchange nearly all the land captured in 1967 for “peace”.

I seriously doubt that there has been any intentional funding of Hamas by Obama, although there seems to be evidence of Hamas phone banks in Gaza raising money for Obama in the hope that he would strong-arm Israel to end the West Bank “occupation” and back Israel into a corner on Jerusalem, the ultimate prize.

There is a group that gets part of the US funding that Hamas has close ties with. It is thought through this group he would get funding.

Obama wants Israel to be a secular socialist state subordinate to world socialist government just like he wants the US to be!

George Soros open society agenda.

Obama’s Chicago and NYC PLO-linked buddies are from the secular socialist camp.

Names?

The far left of the Labor Party in Israel is with Obama on that and would be happy to exchange nearly all the land captured in 1967 for “peace”.

Rahm and his father (Irgun) part of this group?

“Rahm and his father (Irgun) part of this group?”

Irgun was right-wing Zionist and morphed into Likud. Rahm is properly viewed with suspicion (suspected of selling Israel out via appeasement) in Israel these days.

As to names of Obama’s PLO (non-Hamas) association see

http://www.barackbook.com/Profiles/RashidKhalidi.htm

Khalidi was a PLO official under Arafat.

thanks, I knew about him. will read the article.

Many of the Jewish I know felt because Obama had Rahm in his administration that Obama was Pro Israel. That is when I did the research into zionism and irgun. It made no sense. One thing for sure I did know,if Israel is attacked, Rahm’s family be here or some safe place first.

“With any luck , the IDF just knocked of 3 of Dayton’s terror trainees.”

I don’t think that is what happened. Dayton’s trainees, with the approval and support of the IDF, are intended to suppress terrorists acting outside the control of the PA.

Yes, there will be infiltrators in the PA trainees with covert loyalty to Hamasa or other Islamist factions (we have our Dr. Hasans and McVeighs!)

From JPost:

IDF praises PA security performance

Though the IDF carried out the operation on Saturday morning meant to capture the three terrorists who murdered Rabbi Meir Chai, senior officers praised the work of the official Palestinian Authority security forces, which conducted their own investigation into Thursday night’s shooting attack.

The performance of the PA security forces has improved over the past two years with the deployment of US-trained battalions throughout the West Bank. There are currently battalions deployed in Nablus, Jenin, Bethlehem and Hebron.

Hey, just think, any time one Pali knocks off another Pali, it’s one less bullet that an Israeli has to use. Kinda like creating a surplus on the Israeli side and sharing the wealth on the Americans side. Obozo would never have seen this coming.

“Dayton’s trainees, with the approval and support of IDIOTS AND TRAITORS IN THE IDF are intended to PRETEND TO suppress terrorists who PRETEND TO BE acting outside the control of the PA.”

Abbas will attempt to negotiate the most advantageous deal he can get. Under Bush Abbas expected only about 95% of the West Bank and had agreed (in secret) to ceding the Israeli permanent settlements near Jerusalem beyond the “Green Line”. Obama has destabilized the situation by stoking Arab expectations that he will force Israel back to the 1967 borders.

Abbas, with the Dayton trained troops, has prevented a third intifada against Israel, but how do you explain the reports of an impending intifada by al Aksa against the PA due to Dayton’s trainees actions against them (however sub-optimal they have been to date) if Abbas isn’t making serious efforts against rogue Fatah elements in coordination with the Israelis?

From JPost 12-27-09:

The killing of the three Fatah operatives in Nablus by the IDF over the weekend could trigger a third intifada, Fatah officials warned on Sunday.

But the new intifada, they said, would be different from the first two - this time it would be directed against the Palestinian Authority.

During the funerals of the three men, all veteran members and leaders of Fatah’s armed wing, the Aksa Martyrs Brigades, thousands of Palestinians chanted slogans accusing the PA of collusion with Israel and calling for an end to security coordination with Israel and the dismantling of the PA.

For several hours during the funerals, which took place in Nablus, it seemed as if the PA and not the IDF had killed the three men. It was, in the words of a local journalist, “one of the biggest anti-Palestinian Authority demonstrations” in many years.

In the past, there were a number of cases where Fatah militiamen in the West Bank openly admitted to receiving funds from Hizbullah. The gunmen justified their action by arguing that the PA had failed to “compensate” them for the “sacrifices” they made in the fight against Israel.

The killing of the three men is now being exploited by leading figures in Fatah to incite against the PA leadership in Ramallah. One of the main instigators is Husam Khader, a charismatic and extremely popular Fatah operative from Balata who has long been attacking the PA and its security forces, accusing them of financial and moral corruption and collaboration with Israel.

Khader and another senior Fatah operative, Kadoura Fares of Ramallah, are convinced that continued cooperation with Israel on security matters would eventually turn Palestinians against the PA leadership. The two, along with many of their followers in Fatah, believe that a third intifada is on its way, but that this time it would be directed against the PA and not Israel.

“Look, I would like to think with your extra-ordinary (and some would say almost legendary lineage) that you really do mean well, but I have to tell you, Abbas, the one you have put all your hopes on, is gleefully sleeping with your worst enemy and has given you FBJTD (fooled by jihadi transmission disease).”

Well, three generations of knights in my family did participate in crusades to free Jerusalem from Muslim control...but I really have a very cynical view of Abbas.

I view Abbas as a typical PA kleptocrat who at the moment is getting the most money from the Quartet (US, EU, UN, Russia) for suppressing Hamas and other Islamists for the purpose of creating a semi-autonomous state which can receive $billions in additional funds just waiting to shower down if a peace deal is signed with Israel.

Remember that Hamas butchered Abbas’ PA security forces in Gaza and threatens to do the same to take over the West Bank.

The small payments to the families of jailed terrorists (if you look at the tiny amounts being paid per family) are a kind of “VA retirement” payment. I'd say the payment is just designed to keep down the smoldering resentment of fecund families the intent of which I suspect to reduce the sort of desperation that would increase the number of future Hamas volunteer.

I see no indication that Abbas is holding out this small stipend to the familes of prisoners as an enticement to future terrorist acts. Hamas is threatening to overthrow Abbas because he isn't allowing sufficiently frequent and vicious attacks in their view!

I do see a fight to the death between Abbas and Hamas over whether the PA plan for a secular accommodation with Israel on the best available terms will prevail (yes while preserving the greatest opportunity to crush Israel in the future if the US shield fails) or whether the Hamas view of an Islamist rejectionist missile and suicide attack future for the West Bank will prevail.
