Thank you.

Long ago I developed my credo about most of American journalism, and the J-schools from which the current practitioners come.

Screw 'em, lets just go around 'em.

I don't want to be insulted when I turn on the TV in the USA, or told lies, or not have the hot and important news spiked in the first place either because of controlled news or them wanting to only pander to the "bread and circuses" set.

Let's just go around them!

A little hard to read but here it is anyway:

Also, it seems they might cut a deal with those pilots and crew if they spill the beans on who they worked with, and help them trace the route. This would be interesting, the connection between North Korean official companies such as Air Koryo which is a party to international agreements, and internal black weapons dealers in the Ukraine, and then the final (assumed) destination of Iran.

Also, this:

Crew of plane carrying North Korean arms may face death sentence--The Kazakh and Belarusian crew of a plane caught transporting arms from North Korea may face the death penalty, a Thai paper said on Wednesday, citing police. The Il-76 cargo plane, carrying about 40 tons of weaponry, was seized after landing for refueling at Bangkok's Don Muang airport on December 12. Officials said the weapons included missiles and rocket-propelled grenades. The paper quoted a senior police official as saying that the crew would be charged with the illegal possession of explosives, punishable by "from two years to death." The plane's five crew members, one Belarus national and four Kazakhs, were taken to Bangkok's Klong Prem Central Prison after their arrest. The Bangkok Post quoted investigators as saying the crew were planning to offload part of their cargo in Sri Lanka and the Middle East. However, the suspects reportedly refused to name the buyers or locations. The plane's Belarusian commander earlier said that the plane had flown from Ukraine, and claimed that neither he nor the other crewmembers knew of the military nature of the cargo. (RIA Novosti Press)

This news will be quashed in the US because it will show that North Korea does not adhere to international agreements or sanctions related to it. At a time that Obama is being heralded with writing a letter to Kim Jong il carried there on the appeasement mission last week by Stephen Bosworth, and that the State Department is still continuing on its inherently faulty premise that a deal with North Korea can be struck by which they will adhere to it.At the very moment of going into these appeasing US-NK talks to get "agreement" North Korea clearly violates MAJOR AGREEMENTS in the the face of the whole world community by slipping up and having discovered this air cargo shipment route of international black weapons--to Iran probably no doubt and then maybe destined to kill our men in the field, or at least to attack Israel.

Therefore, the Obama agenda to appease will be screwed, if the US media takes this up in earnest and if the US Congress (Republicans at least) question the current INSANITY of the National Security Council, State Department and White House regarding "dealing" with Kim Jong il.

The perfect timing of this high-visibility Thai Airport "bust" is very bad for the Obamanoids and Foggy Bottom. Very bad.

Good additional Japanese news streaming here, including close up of aircraft, Thai authorities taking stuff out of it, and close ups of the crew in custody (imbedded video at the white triangle here) :

I wonder why I keep getting the impression that Japan has the best intel, the best HUMINT, the better political views against Islam and its global plan of domination.

Its like Japan will dominate Asia buy the fact it will have a better doctrine unlike China which is all about cheap labor and cloning other countries technology.

Methinks also that Japan may get its own version of Pearl Harbor from the NORKS, seriously I do believe North Korea will do something like a sub with a nuke near Tokyo.

......Maybe the US does not like the unfortunate timing...

Perhaps that is the case, but didn’t earlier reports indicate the Thai’s were tipped off by American intelligence?

That would seem to indicate our government left hand is unaware of what the right is doing. Is that possible?

Bravo to these REAL journalists! (Very disturbing information, nevertheless, especially in light of today’s Iran missile launch.)

Thanks for the ping, AIT. I doubt we’ll see much if any of this in the US “news” media.

Wanna really scare these people they are interviewing?

Ask: “Will you and your family be imprisoned for this mistake and making DPRK look bad when you return home?”

Be sure to film the reaction, as its probably true.

Yes. Very possible. There is probably very little love lost between the career American intelligence community, particularly field people, and Senator Obama and his inept, ill-prepared, amateurish national security team.

Sub, yes, or suitcase nuke in Tokyo, or sarin/VX in an enclosed space with lots of people, that kind of thing. Of course, they could launch a barrage of Scuds and a few of them could get through with WMD on board. Anything is possible. North Korea actually threatened it several years ago, and they have the human system in carry it out if they want to. (agents in Japan through Chongryon organization, etc).

Can you guys imagine CNN, MSNBC, FOX, et al. going to this length to get the truth of this critical story?

Sure they can. Remember the blogger that got a White house press pass and asked President Bush a softball question about congress' complete disconnect with reality? The MSM knew every girl he'd ever kissed, every web site he'd ever visited and every penny he'd ever spent within 72 hours.

This nuclear madman stuff just doesn't interest them.

Thank you, AIT, for posting this. Why is it that reporters in the US who still do these kind of in-your-face investigations tend to do so for outfits like the Enquirer or TMZ? The press should be as fearless as it is free.

Wow, they are doing a great job. This is an aggressive investigative reporting. Foggy Bottom crowds are living their nightmare again. A couple of years ago, Israeli bombing of Syrian nuclear installation(built according to N. Korean spec) put them in a tail spin. Rice and Hill denied that such an event had ever taken place. And their shills are everywhere trashing anybody who wants to reveal the incident. The excuse of 'top secret' was used to cover it up, but eventually it came out. This was while they loosened financial sanction on N. Korea, and let N. Koreans get their frozen money. Now they are gingerly moving toward the same deal, and Chia Head double-crossed them again.

Somewhere in D.C., bunch of policy makers are taking a huge sigh of relief. If they had moved sooner with their appeasement deal, they would have had another huge embarrassment on their hand.

They should blast this news all over the world via MSM, and done with it. But they won't. Appeasement is part of their reflex as much as Global Warming or government health care.
