A reader called me, then sent me an email Wednesday morning about an incident that occurred Nov. 17 on an AirTran Airways flight.
According to an Atlanta Journal Constitution story, the flight was delayed two and a half hours after a confrontation between some passengers and the flight crew.
The AJC story quoted a passenger sitting toward the back of the airplane who recounted what she saw. That passenger thought it was just a problem with miscommunication.
But there's an email circulating, apparently going viral, from a Texan on the flight, who describes what appeared to him to be a practice run by a bunch of 11 terrorists:
* A guy in the front section talking by phone to a guy in the back, and both refusing to shut off their phones.
* Two in the back watching a porno on a camcorder.
* All 11 got up together to walk in the aisle.
According to the story and/or the emailer, Transportation Security Administration officials and police officers boarded the airplane. A group of 13 people were taken off. After a time, 11 reboarded the airplane, and the newspaper said . Then the pilots and flight attendants walked off the airplane and were replaced with a new crew. Some passengers, including the emailer, decided to take a later flight.
Very curious.

No brainer.
Dry run.
I wouldn’t have stayed on that flight either.
The rest of the passengers were following directions...
Wow! Thanks for the ping. I remember a few years ago reading about terrorist dry runs on planes in a national magazine.
Thanks for the ping!
My friend spoke with Mr. Hackamack over the phone and by email yesterday and this appears to be legitimate. Mr. Hackamack also mentioned that his friend Mr. Petruna has since lost his job with NASA.
. . . . terrorist trial run.
[Thanks, DvdMom, and Larousse2.]

While you are here, check out this article, then clear cookies afterwards. Don't know if it is tinfoil time, but we need to be aware of these things:

I checked out that article, and copied it to my ‘puter also as I want to save it for a chuckle down the road.
I see it as 100% pure bullscoot.
Yes, those kinds of articles keep surfacing. This is about the fourth or fifth one this year. It’s a terrorist tactic, to keep the US off balance, and on edge.
Very interesting, since I’m flying tomorrow AM coast to coast.
Of course, we all know Israeli’s play polo in Aspen
We all know Israeli’s who crash Black Caucus Conventions
We all know Israeli’s who crash an Obama state dinner.
PING! #39
Why? What evidence do you have to support your opinion?
My response was to the link in the body of LucyT’s Ping, not the article that was the headlined thread, of which I ignored as I read it last night, and it seems to me another bunch of Muzzie anus orifices trying to create a situation they can initiate another lawsuit about similar to the one a year or so ago.
So are you talking about the headlined article, or the linked article in the body of LucyT’s ping?
Terrorism, as a weapon owes its efficacy not by which it does but what we do not.
It is the dark cloud that hangs over our minds more than our extant or exposed heads; it is by our imagination, not our experience; thus, it is the most effective weapon short of annihilation ever devised — and it only works when unchallenged.
“Flowers and wine is what I thought I would find
When I came home from working tonight
Well now here I stand, over this frying pan
And you want a cold one again
I bought these new heels, did my nails
Had my hair done just right
I thought this new dress was a sure bet
For romance tonight
Well it’s perfectly clear, between the TV and beer
I won’t get so much as a kiss
As I head for the door I turn around to be sure
Did I shave my legs for this?”
