Who chooses who sits on the parole boards? Governor?
The Governor is responsible ultimately for parole boards but don’t think Arkansas or Washington are any worse than other states when it comes to parole. I don’t know if he appointed the board members or the governor before him and it does not matter. They are told to parole people to make room for more.
The system is a joke but it will never change until Americans get angry enough to fire the folks in charge.
