Great news! Cook Report sees Obama “beyond radio active” for 42 House Dems facing “tough races”
The Collins Report ^ | November 25, 2009 | Kevin “Coach” Collins

Posted on 11/25/2009 6:04:01 AM PST by jmaroneps37

The signs are there. The news is very good for conservatives trying to win back control of our country.

Dozens of House Democrats are facing tough reelection campaigns next year according to Charlie Cook the respected political analyst. Cook’s “Frontline” list of Democrats in reelection trouble even includes some who often run unopposed.

Veteran Democrats like John Spratt SC, John Tanner Tenn. and others who had no opponent last year could be out of office next November; so could South Dakota Senator Byron Dorgan who is trailing his Republican successor by 19 points!

Seeing the light; hearing footsteps

Frightened Democrats are scrambling to distance themselves from Barack Obama in desperate hopes they’ll be spared in the coming political tsunami.

Armed Services Committee Chairman Ike Skelton, whom Cook has identified as endangered, has demanded AG Holder explains his decision to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in federal court citing his “many serious questions.”

New York freshman Eric Massa who bragged to leftwing lunatics he would vote for Pelosicare and against the will of his district lost his nerve and voted “No” after testing the wind.

Dennis Moore of Kansas has announced he will not run in 2010 preferring retirement to defeat.

“Beyond Radio Active”

Cook is so certain November 2010 will see the end of Democrat rule in the House he uses the type of language which ordinarily is scoffed at as “hyperbole” in polite Washington circles. He says Barack Obama will do so much damage to more than 40 Democrats he is “Beyond Radio Active” for them.

While at least 18 vulnerable House Democrats have voted for either the Cap and Trade bill or the Pelosi Healthcare bill, 17 voted for both of these monstrosities and are now virtually dead meat. The Democrats are seeing the light and hearing the footsteps.

People keep mentioning Landrieu Lincoln and Nelson as potential problems for Reid but clearly Lieberman and Dorgan will be problems as well, unless Dorgan wants to lose next year which is very doubtful.

Great news, really great news.

I would like to see us oppose 435 Congressmen.

Yes, that’s right, every single one of them with a vigorous and outraged opposition. Who knows what might happen?

42 Democrats means an 84 seat swing.

...time for an injection of taxpayer money via the “stimulous package” in 42 districts.

JUDGEMENT DAY is coming, and I do hope they don’t get alot of new faces, with the same ideas. We need the PALIN Genetic Material and her DNA to spread.

Too bad the Republican Party doesn’t have leadership to get excited about.

100 vote swing is not out of the question. Obama keeps digging deeper and deeper.

Part of this article does not make much sense. Dorgan is from North Dakota.

And I am confused about the following sentence: “. . .so could South Dakota Senator Byron Dorgan who is trailing his Republican successor by 19 points!”

What does it mean to say on November 25, 2009 that you are trailing your Republican successor by 19 points?

“Who knows what might happen?”

My guess is that freedom would start breaking out all over. It would drive the liberals nuts.

The news is very good for conservatives trying to win back control...

Of course it's also good news for RINOs trying to win back control.

Conservative candidates need to get blatant and say: "I'm not just another worthless RINO"

Is that what it said? How can you trail a successor when that is the person who comes *after* you? Heh. Maybe there was a typo there. In any case apparently if the governor runs against Dorgan he can win, otherwise the incumbent is in good shape, sadly. At least as of now. Though even Sen Lincoln is considered vulnerable against weak, underfunded opponents so I say they should go after Dorgan too, even if they can’t get a top tier challenger.

This will be nothing more than wishful thinking if we don’t KEEP UP THE PRESSURE! Write, e-mail, phone, and speak to your congress-creature in person. Send letters to the editor, sign petitions, answer polls, volunteer to stuff envelopes, work phone banks. In the words of Teddy Roosevelt, “you must do what you can with what you have where you are.” Defeat is not inevitable, but neither is victory. Be of good cheer, and FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT!

Sarah has already done MORE than her part to spread her DNA into the next generation (weren’t you watching the convention??).

And a lovely family they are too!

Looking closely at the districts, I would say there at least 80 seats in the House that could flip; wit Dem seats in Rep leaning districts. Not to mention another 20 in marginal Dem districts

The RNC has to get off their haunches and focus on this. Better late to the party than not at all.

“...time for an injection of taxpayer money via the “stimulous package” in 42 districts.”

Dems can throw money until doomsday, but the problem remains the critical perception, rightly deserved, that the democrats in power are about to impose the worst regulations on business ever seen along with massive taxes.

Businesses won’t hire or start up with this uncertainty and punishment.

Sarah has not yet left the house. She is only growing stronger as the rabid attacks from the RINOS are proving no more effective than those of the Bolsheviks. For her, exposure is a weapon not a weakness. Although she may choose not to run for office; her influence will expose the dead wood and bring about leaders. They may follow her guidance out of fear, but they better well be paying attention.

Heck I am way over here in Japan, but for you folks back in the USA, you must continue to talk Barack Hussein Obama DOWN at work, among neighbors and friends and family--in a truly people-to-people grassroots effort this Thanksgiving 2009 especially if you are getting on the road, or otherwise getting your extended families together.

Thanksgiving is a GREAT several days to do such a negative Obama campaign in millions upon millions of average living rooms, sitting in easy chairs, over beers and during commercials watching football and at dinner tables across the land. Doesn't have to be overbearing or preachy. Can even be light hearted jokes, or referring to the humor on SNL last Saturday. Just well-timed "plant-a-seed"-like statements such as "Sheesh, can you actually believe all that hype last year about Obama as a national savior, and then THIS"?! And then leave it at that. Relatives on the fence will come over. Others will perhaps return to their own neighborhoods to evangelize and pass it on. We must somehow develop a national mentality in this regard about the White House and the loss of our freedoms.

I don't mean to suggest we should overly-politicize Thanksgiving in the sanctity of our own homes, but, our Republic needs us and think of all the people each of us can reach as one massive group of Americans over these holidays.

It is a way, the Japanese would say, to do "kuchikomi", or "word of mouth" that if done in a massive enough way, can actually move polls several percentage points.

Start thinking about that Uncle Joe or Aunt Maria or Niece Lashonda, or your brother Rahul, or Grandpa Heinrich, or son Johnny in from Marine Corp basic, or whomever this next few Thanksgiving 2009 days that you want to get to as you sense they are fertile minds to come squarely over into the Reject Obamaism camp. Bringing just one of those people over will be reason to give "Thanks". If you have never done anything like this before, summon the courage and make a statement. You will be glad you did and chances are you will find people whom you otherwise did not think would agree, nodding their heads in disgust at what Obama is doing to our beloved Country.

“Too bad the Republican Party doesn’t have leadership to get excited about.”

Well.. I’m not sure it’s needed. What I’m finding is there’s a dynamic taking shape here — that the new, reinvigorated Conservative movement is self-led.
