C-SPAN 2 is carrying the Senate floor debate live this afternoon.
The Democrats control the floor right now. Earlier, Republican Senators Judd Gregg, Kit Bond, Jeff Sessions and David Vitter gave good speeches and dialogues on the budget-busting effects of ObamaCare.
Maria Cantwell is speaking now. Mary Landrieu is excpected to speak shortly.
The cloture vote is scheduled for 8 p.m. EST tonight.
It’s over.

I jumped on a Lousisana TEA Party site last night and joined so I could comment.
I suggested that they do Operation: Hound’em
Get all groups state wide to protest in front of her local offices - her HOME - her DC office and her DC digs.
Day in and Day out - we won’t leave you alone - it would take lots of organization and some extension of hospitality for incoming volunteers - like a back yard to camp in - rooms in your home - normal rules of life don’t apply.
It would be a Blitz - hate to use that phrase - but it is something SEIU or Code Pink would do. Can’t we (lawfully) use their tactics?
It would catch them offguard - Hound’em - every one in every state that voted for this cloture - KILL the BIll Sarah Palin just wrote tonight.
Each time we let something slide we are further down the slope.
Someone had this phrase on a post last night and I don’t know the name of who so sorry but I was stunned when I read it and I have been telling people all day. Only the intelligent will understand it and it is .

By the 2013 most of the poplulation will have reached medicare age. Yet all of the politicians keep referring to them as Seniors! They are not seniors, they are the Baby Boomers!

I thought the States would have stepped up by now, but most have caved in order to suck stimulus money out of the Feds.
I used to think the States would save us, what nonsense.

I didn’t know until I read York’s article that this was not a cloture vote. Someone needs to change the headline. This is only to start debate — where did that come from? First time I have ever heard that.
“I’m just keeping my eye out for the first state to secede.
Outside that, I am considering other countries. I will not submit any further to Gov’t servitude.”
I’m looking for land in northern Oklahoma (Texas is just too stinking hot) because I expect at least in my children’s lives to see a new country formed from Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana (maybe Arkansas too)
It’s not what they are against. It’s what they are for and that is called pork. It’s just the usual feeding frenzy going on now. Oink oink. The media likes to give them their privacy while favors are being handed out for votes.

Ok wait until they give 22 million illegals citizenship which is next then it will be over!!!!
