C-SPAN 2 is carrying the Senate floor debate live this afternoon.
The Democrats control the floor right now. Earlier, Republican Senators Judd Gregg, Kit Bond, Jeff Sessions and David Vitter gave good speeches and dialogues on the budget-busting effects of ObamaCare.
Maria Cantwell is speaking now. Mary Landrieu is excpected to speak shortly.
The cloture vote is scheduled for 8 p.m. EST tonight.
I did for 4 years, got everywhere too, and worked for a living.
Enzi sounds like he is reading to 5 year olds.
Give me a time , a place a name , a plan.
They better act soon or we’ll be a socialist shit hole by Christmas. There bastards are moving fast and getting just what they want.
By the way folks you are in the middle of a Marxist takeover of the united states...You do realize that ...right??
Hello...yes you ...right ?
humm ok yea I know we’ll get them with Palin in 2012..
haha 2012 you’ll be in a re education camp . Who the hell are you kidding folks?
They do not fear robbing us of 70% of our earnings, and stealing the private healthcare of our children, and our parents.
THEY DO NOT FEAR US. Why?
THEY DO NOT FEAR US. Why?
Because we’re a bunch of do nothing blow holes that’s why.
There’s your answer pal.
Someone PLEASE do SOMETHING
Soon as the working poor get their pay checks garnished, $10/hr will be more like $1.20/hr
How hard is it to electronically sign a declaration of intent to engage in civil disobedience? I refer of course to the Manhattan Declaration. Many of the greatest movements of history have a single document that acts as the trigger event. A written, public commitment to resist bad law is a good candidate for such an event.
Speak for yourself. Just because people don’t blow their own horn doesn’t mean things aren’t happening. The Internet is not the sum total of the universe.
Enzi is making very good points.
If the fagots in the GOP had ANY balls they would walk out in protest and claim government takeover of health care is unconstitutional. They need to do something radical . I’ve not seen one of them get mad or come up with any plan of action.
Yeah, but you probably didn't have to grocery shop for a family of six, or take kids to Cub Scouts, church, etc. A contractor can't haul his supplies on the bus, either.
A person can manage without a personal vehicle in LA, but I don't recommend it. In those few times when I was without a vehicle in Los Angeles, I got physically ill over it. It was that big of a threat to my survival.
Where , when ? Email me. Where are these people????
They have about 15 minutes to do anything regarding health care. I have energy , time and some $$ and a lot patriotism to contribute. Inform me my friend.
Follow up on it . Im all ears.
Some sort of MASSIVE civil movement is in order.
Complete national strike
Use the play book of the left .their methods work well...
Most of the GOP don’t really care...a few do.
They know this kind of Government takeover of its citzens will keep them in office also.
Citizens in bondage only get weaker, and look to their ruling class to keep them alive.
Been there a few months..Lots of talk ..some good folks..No plan ...
Just curious - do you think the vote will be any different to end debate? I don't. We're screwed. It's over.
Yep, his shoe sales ‘listen to the customers’ what they can afford is good. Republicans mostly wasted the response, where is the
“what the ___ are we doing here on a Saturday nite? You Democrats have had since January 2007 to do something, and now more than 2 years later your rushing a insurance reform bill on a Saturday nite?”
