C-SPAN 2 is carrying the Senate floor debate live this afternoon.

The Democrats control the floor right now. Earlier, Republican Senators Judd Gregg, Kit Bond, Jeff Sessions and David Vitter gave good speeches and dialogues on the budget-busting effects of ObamaCare.

Maria Cantwell is speaking now. Mary Landrieu is excpected to speak shortly.

The cloture vote is scheduled for 8 p.m. EST tonight.

What we need to do to get these assholes attention is to mark Apr 15th as a day of NATIONAL PROTEST.

The Senate language is not precisely the same as the House legislation, therefore, a conference will be necessary between members of both chambers from the relevant committees. This legislation will once again be required to go through each chamber for vote, the House must once again reach 218. If the abortion provision in included, Stupak has said he has the votes from the pro-life caucus to kill the final bill. As far as I've understood from him, they will not attempt the excuse, "Hey, we got our language in the House version, we couldn't manage any more, give us credit for that." They will defeat the bill if it means taxpayer funding for killing the unborn.
