Obviously, there's a conspiracy afoot among the subset of traders at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange who have shorted belly futures!
Looks like Obama knew some of his stocks were getting federal funding in 2005 but he lost money.

Murky Rules
While Obama ultimately lost money on his stock trades, these two moves do raise the question of whether there are ethical issues that should have restrained the senator from investing in shares of such unusual companies at a time when they were benefiting from federal funding.
Nully, Obama is one walking High Crime himself. I learned a couple of days ago that if (and it will) the Healthcare Bill passes the Senate and becomes law, that Republicans will never win another election. The reason, every single person (milliions of them) who works in the medical field from drs. nurses, LPN’s, janitors, housekeeping, medical records, every department and beauracrat will have to belong to SEIU. All of these multiple millions will HAVE to vote DemonRAT period. THIS is how they are going to take over elections. One of the famous Marxist/Socialist/Commies stated: “If you want to Socialize a country, FIRST take over it’s healthcare”. That is what is being done now.
Thank God, Canada is moving away from the Socialized medicine and is becoming a two tiered system. We are allowed to go to MRI clinics for example and pay them privately, we can now buy additional insurance from private companies etc. Minor surgeries can be done in private clinics etc. Socialized medicine DOES NOT work. Once it becomes overloaded and it does, then it completely fails. The United States is starting from an overloaded situation with all the seniors, baby boomers now aging etc. God help anyone who is now on Medicare or Medicaid. It won’t be there for them. Over 65? - No treatment for you.
Every politician either Congressional or Senator, who votes this thing is, needs to be turfed but it won’t be possible to do that anymore. Ever wonder why so many of them are so arrogant? They know that nothing can be done to them unless there is a physical Revolution of the people and the Military combined, to remove them. Sad scenario and very wicked too. CO

I could not find Baxter in Obama’s portfolio but that does not mean he does not own it. He could have it in his childrens names or Michelle.
But if you research his stock investing, very interesting stuff. General electric who Obama bailed out and plans on millions for healthyimagination medical records and green energy. Jeff Immelt GE CEO advising Obama’s every move.
He now has most of his stocks with Warren Buffett. Warren Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway)who bought tons of GE during their bailout. Berkshire being a mutual fund. I can’t remember if Buffett bought GE shares before or after the bailout but that looks like insider trading if before.
A article mentioned Obama placed his shares in mutual funds to avoid impropriety.
Also a mutual fund called Columbia ACORN. Never heard of them but they are out of Chicago. Coincidental name me thinks.

Yesterday, they wanted us to believe that Joseph Moshe was a nutcase and a terrorist, arrested for threatening to bomb the White House. Interesting detail about his arrest (the “Westwood standoff”) was that he seemed to be immune to the 5 cans of tear gas and 5 gallons of law-enforcement grade pepper spray they pumped into his face. He very calmly remained in his car, as the video footage of his arrest shows.
Professor Moshe had called into a live radio show by Dr. A. True Ott, broadcast on Republic Broadcasting claiming to be a microbiologist who wanted to supply evidence to a States Attorney regarding tainted H1N1 Swine flu vaccines being produced by Baxter BioPharma Solutions. He said that Baxter’s Ukrainian lab was in fact producing a bioweapon disguised as a vaccine. He claimed that the vaccine contained an adjuvant (additive) designed to weaken the immune system, and replicated RNA from the virus responsible for the 1918 pandemic Spanish flu, causing global sickness and mass death.

The company's value would remain, despite the worldwide economic slowdown. Also, if Baxter ends up being a preferred Prescription Vendor under ObamaCare (if it passes), he'd really cash in!

| FYI: Calculating that Obama reportedly bought $50K of Baxter stock in 2005, that would equal approx 1420 shares at $35 per share. Running the math on the last 13 reported Dividends would equal approximately $6,000 in Dividends that Obama would have received from Baxter. That's NOT accounting for any additional purchases he (Michelle, or on behalf of his children) may have made as he got closer to election time in 2008 or since. It may not sound like much compared to his H1N1 program and ObamaCare, but if he profited ANY via insider trading, it could be very damning — another nail in the coffin. The only new position Buffett has in his last filing is:
- Becton Dickinson (BDX), a maker of medical devices. It trades for 13x earnings. Return on equity is 23%. Buffett also owns Johnson & Johnson (JNJ), which is of course in the medical-device space. Just like Buffett started with BNI and then added Kansas City Southern (KSU) and Union Pacific in the space to his holdings, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Buffett add to BDX but also buy shares in competitors Abbott Laboratories (ABT) and Baxter International (BAX).
Buffett’s next big bet is clearly health care, given an aging baby boomer population. If you wanted to piggyback on Buffett you could get JNJ and BDX but I’d also consider ABT and BAX. Buffett also owns GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and Sanofi-Aventis (SNY) which are both dead center in the middle of the flu vaccine craze.
Don’t chase the transportation stocks today but look at the bigger picture of what Buffett is doing.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has accused three former executives of Janus Capital Management of improperly allowing market-timing trades in the company’s mutual funds. SEC documents released Monday said the agency is seeking unspecified fines and sanctions against Warren Lammert, Lars Soderberg and Lance Newcomb for allegedly allowing rapid trading in Janus funds despite company rules that discouraged it. All three have left the company.

He added, “we reject the assertion that we are inflators of bubbles and profiteers in busts, and we are painfully conscious of the importance in being a force for good.” Taibbi rebutted, “Goldman has its alumni pushing its views from the pulpit of the U.S. Treasury, the NYSE, the World Bank, and numerous other important posts; it also has former players fronting major TV shows. They have the ear of the president if they want it.”
