VOLUNTEERS NEDED Compiling List of Upcoming Town Hall Meetings
It seems that many Democratic members of congress will try to avoid attending town hall meetings with their constituents over the holiday recess so they do not have to endure the public fury and ridicule they experienced at these meetings over the Summer, and if they do hold town halls they will try to keep it quiet so only their supporters know when and where they will be.
With this in mind I am currently creating a list of ALL town hall meetings that are being scheduled for all members of the House and Senate. This list will be available on grassrootsnation.com and I will be making the raw data available to anyone who requests it so the information will be broadly available. Once the list is complete we can call out House Members and Senators who refuse to meet with their constituents.
I need volunteers to be responsible for monitoring their member of congress, or perhaps several members in their state to find out when they will be having town halls. You can check their website press release page to see when they announce something, or, since some of them may be sneaky and not make public announcements you may need to call or email their offices frequently, requesting the information.
For anyone interested in helping out you can enter the meeting information here.
Please freepmail me with the states and districts you will be monitoring. I will post a listing of which districts are being covered so we dont duplicate efforts. If you have any problems with the website please let me know.
Yes brother! This is what we need. I will keep an eye on Texas. Maybe I can find a few for you.
Was looking just then and don’t see any public announcements. I will start calling and see if I can get some info. They got burned over the summer so its not going to be easy.
Most of them probably will not start announcing town halls until they head home for recess but I just want to have the mechanism in place to collect and disseminate the information when it begins to flow.
We are not going to let the Congress hide from their constituents.
Boy, did you call it!
I’ve been fuming that our congressman just announced several with only a few days in advance. Here you go...
