Federal investigators chasing e-mail and other communication links between Fort Hood shooting suspect Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan and radical Islamist cleric Anwar al-Awlaki should consult a new book that cites documents on the al Qaeda imam.
Muslim Mafia, by investigative reporter Paul Sperry, reports on copies of once-secret U.S. immigration records revealing that U.S.-born Awlaki was detained by authorities at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Oct. 10, 2002, as a terrorist suspect as he tried to re-enter the United States from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was mysteriously released because a warrant for his arrest had been rescinded the day before, according to the book Mr. Sperry co-authored with P. David Gaubatz.
According to one document cited by the authors, Mr. Awlaki, spelled Aulaqi in those records, had been on a terrorist watch list and was referred to secondary inspection at the time of his detention.

U.S. immigration records show Aulaqi, the 9/11 imam, was detained about a year after the attacks -- on October 10, 2002 -- upon reentering the U.S. from Riyadh.
A restricted federal database reveals that the subject of a federal investigation by a Houston-based terrorism task force sent money to Aulaqi. The imam, who listed Dar al-Hijrah mosque in Falls Church, Va., as his address, is a silent hit in connection with the case, records show.
The same database reveals Aulaqi also has been the target of a terrorism-financing investigation led by a Customs special agent.
The restricted database log shows that Aulaqi was released from custody at JFK International Airport after agents there got word from D.C. that an arrest warrant for him had been pulled back the day before

I just got a sickening feeling .. the possibility of
who might have screwed up Aulaqi’s further detention
and interrogation, maybe saving lives. And maybe that’s
why he went so vocally postal on Scooter Libby ..then
Blago .. to prove he’s really such a tough, effective official.
I’m remembering Peter Lance being legally threatened
for publishing his book with a very unflattering
characterization, intimating PF really screwed up
with another terrorist.
My tinfoil hat could be on real tight .. I’ve been
reading stuff that makes my hair stand on end and
need to sleep. Could our government truly be this
incompetent and loaded with this level of high
class, manipulative bumblers?
What few people seem to know about Scooter Libby, and what I have ALWAYS believed was the REAL reason PF went after him so hard after KNOWING that there was no crime in the Plame case, KNOWING it was the islamist sympathizer Armitage that named her, was that Libby was the architect of DEMOCRATIZING the Middle East.
It included ALL the islamic governments including Saudi Arabia AND Iran where the US would have backed Freedom movements based on Human Rights, womens’ rights, NOT based on Islam and Shariah.
This was what Dick Cheney advocated, but Bush was a huge friend of the Sauds and the “religion of peace.” That is why there was no pardon for Libby, and that is why rhere was such a huge rift between Bush and Cheney.
Bush sat by and allowed this man to be destroyed.
FWIW, he was also the atty. who represented Marc Rich for his pardon, not for the reasons Holder passed on it, but because Rich was a Zionist who secretly devoted much support to Israel.
clinton pardoned Rich purely for the money.
It’s Einstein’s theory of relativity writ large.
Having worked around law enforcement types for a long time, I can say that often times thing go wrong, things get lost, things get forgotten. But Patrick Fitzgerald has placed himself on such a high pedestal, it would appear to be somewhat easy to knock him off it.
You betcha!
Thanks for the ping to this article. I am catching up this morning after being gone for a few days and would not have wanted to miss this one. Just watched Janet Napalitano on FF this morning and the policy think of this Obama administration is that terror is just the new reality we live in..so we should just get use to it. No WOT anymore according to Obama...we just need to understand that we are going to be attacked by these savages. It was really stunning to watch.
I’m not getting your equation .. and I do NOT
agree about Pres. Bush. Libby’s involvement
was years earlier and had nowhere near the
direct impact on Clinton of Jack Quinn and Holder.
And by their time in the issue, Denise Rich had
been the million dollar darling of the DNC and
the Clintons, giving piles of bucks to all in
sight to facilitate her ex’s pardon.
Eric Holder .. Jack Quinn ... Clintoon WH counsel, Beth Nolan, were most involved in the Marc Rich pardon. Quinn represented Rich.

The testimony from Lewis “Scooter” Libby, who represented Rich dating back to 1985 but stopped working for him in the spring of 2000, came during a contentious, hours-long House committee hearing into former President Bill Clinton’s eleventh-hour pardons.

“Then in 1999, when he was deputy attorney general in the Clinton administration, Holder was approached to help Rich by Jack Quinn, Richs attorney and a confidant of Al Gore, who was at that time running for president. Holder was hopeful that Quinn would recommend him for attorney general in a Gore administration. Abandoning the approach hed had his subordinates take with Rich in 1995, Holder in 1999 decided Rich wasnt so bad after all. He tried to persuade the U.S. attorney in New York to meet with Quinn to discuss settling the fugitives case without jail time.
When that didnt work, he helped Quinn obtain a pardon for Richrunning interference so that prosecutors would not learn a pardon was under considerationand conveyed to President Clinton that, as DOJs top spokesman, he favored clemency. (As he slyly phrased it, he was neutral leaning in favor.)”

Marc Rich Pardon: Attorney Jack Quinn Testifies Before House Government Reform Committee
Aired February 8, 2001

Mr. Holder, the [Congressional] report says, played a major role, steering Mr. Richs lawyers toward Jack Quinn, a former White House counsel. Mr. Rich hired Mr. Quinn, whose Washington contacts and ability to lobby the president made the difference, according to the report. It says that Mr. Holders support for the pardon and his failure to alert prosecutors of a pending pardon were just as crucial.
The panel criticized Mr. Holders conduct as unconscionable and cited several problems. It cited his admission last year that he had hoped Mr. Quinn would support his becoming attorney general in a Gore administration.

I wasn’t talking about the Marc Rich pardon having anything to do with Bush. I was talking about why PF went after him on the Plame case and why Bush did not pardon him. It had nothing to do with Rich. Bush and Cheney were at loggerheads over Libby. Libby had mapped out a strategy in the mideast that went counter to what the despots in the region wanted.
Cheney supported it. Bush didn’t.
I just mentioned the pardon for passing reference to Libby...and the difference in why Holder, (Quinn,) and Clinton were much more egregious in their approach to Rich.
True .. they disagreed.
I don’t agree with your basis for it.
Okay. But there is a history there. I’ve been following this since day one. Not trying to convince you. Just giving you the info.
Da debil be in da details.
Holder, (Quinn,) and Clinton were much more egregious in their approach to Rich.

= for buckets full of money from Rich.
Perhaps from Israel as well .. but I’ll bet
a search of Swiss bank accounts for front company
individuals and trusts many times removed from the
actual principal would be very revealing.
Having also followed the whole debacle .. Clinton
onward .. I do not and would never put Pres. Bush
in anywhere near the same category as those deviant
operators at all. Believe what you will.
I think we are miscommunicating here. I would never put Bush in with that whole sordid mess either. It was strictly a reference point to Libby.
The Bush thing was because of a policy dispute. Apples and oranges.

Man that is really scary!!!
