Anti Palin comments are counter-productive and should not be tolerated among us. (Vanity)

Those of you. You know who you are.

I don't care who you are or what your reasoning is. Your siding with the maistream media against Palin is doing nothing to help Republicans or Conservatism in general. You are hurting your own cause. Unless you are a DU troll. Or a liberal Republican who has no idea what the heck you are even talking about.

Ani Palin comments (such as "shes not fit to be President") should be seen as trolling and should not be tolerated on Free Republic, any conservative web site or any conservative setting. While I am not calling for anyone to be purged from this website. I, and others are going to keep a list of Palin hating trolls so the rest of you know who has credibility and who doesn't. who is a troll, and who isn't.

We will know your posting history. We know where your opinons are coming from. The Palin bashing is getting old. And the cat calls will likely increase for Jim Robinson to do some fall cleaning if this continues.

So, please. stop inflicting damage on conservatism.

Yanno, the election was Hillary's to lose...and somehow her own party preferred the one present black dude over her. There is some misogyny out there and it would be our folly to ignore it.

I like Sarah Palin a lot and I admire anyone that can embrace old-fashioned values while pragmatically dealing with the problems of today. Her calls for energy independence should be enough to win over every American that wants to defeat terrorism and save our economy. Priorities, already!

There is a difference between criticizing Palin and recognizing the forces against her as far as electability. The vast majority of what you would term "criticism" here is simply the acknowledgement of her weakness as a candidate.

Anything is possible in America, and the mushy middle can certainly be swayed. I still don't understand how they voted for the most liberal Senator in the country.

I will reserve my right to speak freely and I hope that you can learn to discern the difference between trolling and critical appraisal.

The Palin bashers have just as much right to post as the Palin Mania Lust Club with their constant Palin, Queen of All Thing Conervative, Warrior Princess, RINO Hunter, Savior of Democracy, Defender of the Republic pictures.

Honestly, when was the last time you were able to come onto FreeRepublic's front news page and, scrolling down from the very top to the very bottom, not see at least one piece of Palin spam?

In the over two months I've made a habit of looking, there has never once been a Palin article-free page. And yet these same people are generally the ones who go ballistic whenever they see the lone positive article on Romney or Huckabee once in a blue moon.

I cant imaging someone with conservative principles suggesting that open discussion should be suppressed. You would get along very well with Stalin and Mao. They had an aversion to criticism too.

I like Sarah Palin, but, I am not sold that she is ready to be president. I would like to see her gain more experience on a national level.

If Free Republic moderators ever purged (nice Stalin term) FR for expressing an anti Palin position then FR is no better than the intolerant left and this FR would no longer be worthy of my time.

I find your willingness to suppress intelligent debate chilling.

I suggest gently that you may wish to reconsider this approach. Forcing people who are otherwise well-disposed toward Mrs. Palin to choose between her candidacy and free speech does her no favors at all; in fact, and I hope you'll forgive me for putting it quite this strongly, it disgraces her.

Enemies lists are foolish affectations of the politically insecure. We don't need them to remember who said what. If, however, you must have one, please place my name there. I like Palin a good deal. I love free speech and the Constitution of my country far more.

Just so you know, my post #164 was not directed at you, but at the OP. Actually, you said what I said a lot better.

Dangit,

Were you around last year ? Did you see how the media attacked her and then the McCain campaign threw her under the bus. The media attacks on her and being repeated every single day on Free Republic and it does our cause no good.

I am sorry, but we are sometimes too nice. I am reading Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky. These tactics that I was so disgusted by last year were winning tactics. They made Obama President. The guy has no idea how to govern, conservatives do.

The way Palin was treated was horrible. This is a culture war, and I think conservatives will not go anywhere until we get nasty. get vicious. not try to be nice all of the time.

RINO’s are the nearest target.

I love Palin and she is the person who I would support the most at this point...however you can’t just tell people to shut up if something isn’t right...

I love GWB but there were times where more people should have stood up against some of the decisions he made when it came to spending and immigration and our congressmen didn’t do it.

At the same time those idiots in congress who were republicans voted against his social security bill and that angered the hell out of me

Knock yourself out. My name is at the bottom of this post. Feel free to add it.

You seem to think that Sarah Palin is far too weak to take the same sorts of criticism that every other politician takes.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement on your part, is it? Too weak to withstand withering criticism, but strong enough to the the leader of the Free World?

See, it doesn't work that way. She's either strong enough to take everything thrown at her, or she isn't. You seem to think she isn't, since you demand she not be criticized.

I think she is. And while I will support her as the nominee, I will not keep quiet if I find myself in disagreement with her.

I will not be part of any group that acts as though any politician anywhere is above criticism. They aren't our betters. They aren't our rulers. They aren't royalty. So please. Add me to your list. I refuse to kowtow to anyone for any reason. Ever.

No.

I just hate the way she was treated last year. That was slander. and to see people on Free Republic repeat mainstream media talking points just makes me sick to my stomach.

Here is what I think you are getting at:

“REPUBLICANS are rarely beaten by Democrats. More often what happens is REPUBLICANS commit suicide and Democrats win by default.”

I’m anti-Shut-up-and-go-away-if-you-can’t-see-things-my-way. Smacks of small minds...like Obama. I can see that point of view, I hold it, betcha Gov. Palin holds it, and those that enjoy watching liberals' heads explode hold it. On the other hand, other than the entertainment value of the clueless Palin bashing, it really is of itself a form of banality that gets tiresome, so I also see the author's point of view. Unfortunately, calling for its end will be like obama calling for the end of criticizing him! Just hope the popcorn crop is stellar this year.

What happened to Sarah last fall was a disgrace.

While true, in reality, What happened to the country last fall was a disgrace, Gov. Palin was just collateral damage. From the old truism, 'the first casualty in any war is the Truth'. Anyone who thinks that Acorn and its useful tools has not declared war on America missed the first battle.

Saying Sarah can ‘draw a crowd at lunchtime’ is a compliment? Even if it was said in a calm voice.....

Too late, Matthews has no credibility, along with CNN.

You can see the fear in Matthews’s eyes when he mentions her name. He knows she can beat Obama. Just watch, if those 9/11 terrorists are acquitted, Obama is done, caput. I’ll be packing my bags for 2012 when Sarah is elected the first female President

This is a unique situation. Because the media pretty much launched a war against this woman.

Again your correct, in a way... the media pretty much launched a war against Republicans, and Gov. Palin was their Dien Bien Phu. The communists haven't changed much in all these years, have they!
