Well, look at it this way. We need his vote against the Healthcare disaster that is waiting in the wings. Censor him now and he’ll throw his weight to the other side to be a “bi-partisan” politician. But later, let him know in no uncertain times that we conservatives are watching him and his re-election campaign will be in full gear after the 2012 elections. He has to see that people are fed up with RINOs, so we need to encourage him to stand with us and remind him of the consequences, if he falters.

Lindsey Graham has been a great leader for our state and party. I appreciate everything he has done for me and his tireless work in helping Republicans at all levels of government. He’s a team player. Ronald Reagan always said that people who agree with you 80 percent of the time should be considered a good friend. Reagan was a wise man and if we want to build a strong, vibrant Republican Party we should follow his advice.

Hey Joe, get stuffed! Ronald Reagan would NEVER have countenanced what you are trying to sell here.

If Graham feels he must vote like a democrat, then conservatives had better rally around a real conservative and vote graham out. I’m just sick of these rinos.

You lie.

Hey, Joe Wilson. I want my money back!

We have to wait another 5 years or so to get Lindsey, but you can leave next year if you like. I for one am damned sick and tired of RINO’s and politicians who enable them.

This is my party, dammit, and I refuse to leave it or to compromise even one of my principles. If you abandon principle, what you are left with is pragmatism, mother of every scourge foisted upon western civilization since the French Revolution.

The Republican party is THE Conservative party. If a third party is necessary as so many here and elsewhere are now advocating, let the RINO’s form it, or conform to our conservative principles. I don’t have to get along with anybody. I’m too old, frankly, to care for one second whether or not I am liked by somebody or other, or whether I might just offend some hyphenated group or another’s delicate sensibilities by insisting that my government limit itself to the constraints placed upon it by our Constitution.

If the good Senator from South Carolina isn’t happy representing conservatives in the Republican Party he needs to get the hell out. If he is still there in 2014, we will throw him out on his ass. Personally, and I know this will send some flak my way, I would be more comfortable with Graham switching and voting as a Democrat, which he already does, than I am right now with him misrepresenting MY party as anything other than a conservative party, which it isn’t.

That’s my 2 cents worth which given the current value of the USD, isn’t worth much.

That’s what I’m thinking. He’s got five more years I think until his re-election race. We need to “keep him in the fold” until then, but then he’s fair game and we do our best to replace him with an actual conservative Republican.

Joe Wilson can say whatever he wants. The Republicans in South Carolina have heard enough out of fancy pants. Besides Lindsey is a white guy and has said he hates white guys being in the party.

I’m disappointed at Wilson on this but the real target should remain Graham. How long will it be before he reprises his Crap and Tax with Kerry by coming out for another round of Amnesty? I could stomach Graham if he were representing Maryland, but he is a total waste of a fine conservative state like South Carolina.

Lindsey Graham is flat WRONG on global warming. There isn't any global warming, and a decade ago when there was a little, it wasn't caused by CO2 emissions. Anyone who is too dumb to see the data on this deserves censure, be he conservative, liberal, or moderate.

Joe Wilson sez: Ronald Reagan always said that people who agree with you 80 percent of the time should be considered a good friend.

Joe, Pandsey is NOT a good friend of mine. All my good friends are conservatives.

Joe Wilson had a tremendous outburst of honesty back when he yelled “You Lie!” to Obama during his Healthcare Address to Congress. Joe represents my SC district. I did not vote for him last November because he supported the first Bush $700 Billion TARP package. I couldn’t. He wasn’t a principled Conservative, as I saw it. I thought their was hope with his late outburst — but defending Lindsey Graham reintroduces great doubts in my mind. Next November will tell the story, but as of now, I am not comfortable supporting Joe. Talking out of both sides of your mouth for the sake of “the party” is a no-no to Principled Conservatives.
