I do recommend people go to the original C-SPAN VIDEO TAPE (URL LINK ABOVE), it is over an hour long, and find ways to archive/hard copy it there in its entirety. I know some are doing that as we speak. YouTube on the one hand, can take things down or disable I guess on a whim, but C-Span is going to be in hot water if they try to scrub things that are historical fact and were already broadcast officially.

His army career is full of red flags and very suspect. He is an Army PC poster boy who was in fact a jihadi. How many more of them are in military? Dozens? Hundreds? Many careerist officers in the military probably have a pet muslim to check their PC ticket. Our military and civilian leadership has failed utterly. This is frightening.

His family is Palestinian. He clearly took an interest in events concerning the Palestinians. I think there should be no doubt that he took up their cause and deliberately set out to slaughter our American soldiers. This guy is a sleeper, no question about it. We know it, the army knows it and zero knows it. Nice work AIT.

...and who’s to say he didn’t PLANT ideas in soldiers’ minds that he was assigned to?? How hard would it be to psychologically mess with a soldier that has seen terrible things in Iraq??

I am curious to hear from them, I know there is patient/doctor confidentiality, but the news media has reported the man got TERRIBLE job evaluations for *6 years* at Walter Reed (!!!!)—WHY?

What it means to me is that this guy was politically active and had an agenda. It fits in with some of his other actions and activities. His presence raises many questions. Was he there on his own? Was the Army aware of his attendance at the event? Why did he go in uniform?

...and I think the choice of the BDU's bespeaks (ok, with hindsight) that he wanted trusted access as part of his test of this event. The BDUs seem to me to paint with an, "I'm part of the group carrying the load for us Americans in the ME, so you can trust me" message.

I believe he was on someone's mission at this event, and we all have an interest to know that the proper, pro-American authorities are all over the facts surrounding this guy's movements, both on and off his supposed "real job."

Standing despite a repeated, authoritative order not to should henceforth send up red flags against any profilable, potential Islamist up to no good. I think it would reasonably have been time to order the waterboarding after such behavior (that we would carry such a lesson from this beast's actions.

Hasan's motionlessness as the questioner beside him spoke bespeaks some form of uncomfortability and/or training. Perhaps it was his strongly conflicted presence and intentions.

Everything about this guy needs to be investigated and brought closely under the microscope, and the military investigators should have access to and cooperation from all in government to facilitate such investigation.

If there's a Van Jones-Valerie Jarrett-type connection, this administration needs to be revetted thoroughly (up to and including Soetero's impeachment)! I want to know if Hasan's name and/or bio was ever sent up on some website, as apparently the WH used to fill many of its Special Interest positions from their trusted supporters.

From history we do know that would be would-be assassin Arthur Bremer stalked Nixon, and then backed off (too much security?) and settled on Governor Wallace (paraylzing bullets) in a shopping center in Maryland. Some times these guys get cold feet but get real close to actually doing it, do dry runs, what not. Who knows what the guy might have had strapped to his person under that BDU. I doubt there was any metal detectors or pat downs at this particular event, and this was in the real heat of the Israeli-Hamas hot war in Gaza, he sure got there front row/center. There isn’t any doubt in my mind that NMH was already well into a jihadist mind-frame by that time.

I’m at the library and not able to access video and such, but thank you for sharing this information. I have to admit I found it a little odd that in the midst of the general “maybe he went nuts”, there are numerous reporters on all networks who ARE treating this as a terrorist act.

When I first heard about this on the radio and they didn’t release the man’s name or description, I told my husband “He’s Muslim - I just know it”, and sure enough... Sometimes I REALLY do hate being right about these things.

Anyway, it’s frustrating that if he’s been watched for a while now that no-one thought it odd that he gave away his furniture and many copies of the Koran to his neighbors in the day or days before his heinous act.

Prayers being said for all the brave men and women killed by this evil man, and prayers for their families, friends, and the entire base of Ft. Hood. May God bless them all with comfort in their time of sorrow. Prayers for those recovering from wounds as well...

I will refrain from further comments about the shooter as I’d get in trouble saying what I WANT to say about him!!!

If it was a public event, there is probably a Muzzie group scanning announcements for potential targets, a sharing network of people who follow such things. It wouldn't take an "invitation." Hence, there might not be much we can do about it as long as there are public meetings.

More important, security people should note who arrives early, taking a seat as he did, looking around a lot at exits, scanning security people, etc. My guess is they already do that, but this should serve as a wake-up call. Further, the podium should be bullet proof and the speaker reminded to duck behind it if he sees anything or a guard makes the call.

That is why exposing his blogging publicly is so important, to see if he was sharing plans, doing this all on his own, or just monitoring a group posting of opportunities. I'd also hazard a guess that if his name came up on an FBI watch list his emails may have been monitored by NSA. It would be interesting to see if he had private key encryption software on his computer.

Further, holden, I have re-run and freeze framed oh so thoroughly YouTube Clip 1, and I can tell you this. It looks like the Ambassador had several security trailing him by a few feet. This Hasan gets up up suddenly after His Excellency has passed him by. The camera angle immediately changes to a front view of the Ambassador in a shadow walking forward toward the camera, and cut in a way you can see the security detail immediately behind him looking worryingly backwards seemily toward Hasan because of his sudden movement standing up like that (they and he are both in a bright spotlight), giving him the once over, the Director announces on the P.A. again for everyone to sit down, whereupon Hasan backs down and returns to sitting on his chair. This did not look right to me. He might have wanted to shout something at the Ambassdor--he was known to rant or ramble something at a previous or subsequent HSPI event, or something worse, who knows--the bastard is known for having cowardly shot people in the back we know that much. But freeze-framing it and looking at the security entorage's reaction to Hasan at that exact moment may be interesting to note.

I'm virtually certain that the Israeli security detail was all over this guy's movements, at least from the time of his likely early arrival, and certainly thereafter for any such similar events involving their dignitaries.

I wonder if there wasn't a fat dossier on this guy that the Israeli's might have offered to share with their American counterparts. If so, what path did such information take, and was there any in the administration covering for the guy?
