Fort Hood Shooting: American Muslims Express Fear, Frustration
The news that the suspect is one of their own brings up familiar feelings. Besides fears of retribution, they're tired of sensing pressure to apologize for someone else's 'maniacal brutality.'

Reporting from Los Angeles and Atlanta - The news made Nihad Awad sick to his stomach.
Like the rest of the nation, Awad, who heads the Council on American-Islamic Relations, learned this week that it was a Muslim who opened fire at a U.S. Army base in Texas, killing 13 people and injuring many more. According to witnesses, Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan issued the great, exalting cry of his faith before opening fire:
"Allahu akbar!" God is great.
Hearing the story, Awad too would invoke his maker -- but with a weary lament that is echoing coast to coast among American Muslims.
"I said, 'Oh God, here we go again,' " Awad recalled. "We know what will come when a Muslim name flashes across the [television] screen. What will come is guilt by association."
In response to Thursday's shooting, mosques around the U.S. denounced the violence and implemented a range of overt and subtle security measures. In the Los Angeles area, Islamic groups contacted police and sheriffs, who stepped up patrols of mosques and Muslim community centers.
USC sophomore Janan Al-Henaid said that her mother called Friday, asking her to come home to Claremont and to be careful when going out. "And she's never done that before," Al-Henaid said.
Muslim groups participated in a conference call Friday with federal agencies -- including the Homeland Security and Justice departments -- to discuss Muslim Americans' safety.

Well you know its hard for Americans to understand that religious fervor is not derangement. He was not in fact deranged, which implies he was out of contol. This man Hasan was calm and methodical, he was conducting the religious ritual of a Mujihad, knowing that if he died, both he and his victims would join before Allah in heaven.
Thats hard for us to wrap our minds around, but he was not deranged at all.

It’s being said that the killer believed the war on terror was a war on Islam. Was he the only officer in the military who was willing to speak the truth in public?

Based on what past experience to Mohammedans feel this apprehension? The mass killings that followed 9/11? The internment camps that followed the Cole and Embassy bombings? The media outrage at the discovery that the Beltway snipers were, in fact jihadists? The racial profiling of specific types at airports in response to shoe bombers and flying Imams?
Oh... wait... those things never happened.
What did happen is the Mohammedan pressure groups (such as CAIR) learned from minority race hustlers and feminists that there is no charge so silly that some white liberal will not bend over forward to obsequiously apologize for and even remediate. Now an adherent of TROPTM has murdered 13 people and ruined the lives of countless others, but those of us who doesn't subscribe to his fanatical religion are the ones who must feel guilty. Baloney.
This blind hatred and the indiscriminate violence it breeds isn't our problem: it's yours. Fix it or pack the hell up and get out.

Yeah, I only use the TV to watch DVDs. My upstairs neighbor watches MSNBC, though, so I often hear Olberfreak. But they ain’t gettin any ratings out of me.
They come to a free country then try to impose their insane culture on the inhabitants. They have no intention of assimilating. If they want to live under sharia law they need to stay in their own countries, and not come into ours and attack and kill Christians in our own homeland. They can deny it all they want to, but the Koran tells them to kill us every chance they get. They need to know that their bloodthirsty ways are a threat to civilization and we need protection from them. We have rights too.
When I see the Council on American-Islamic Relations having training sessions for Muslim young men on how to act cizilized - then I'll believe they are sincere. Until then they're playing the black ( yes, it can be played by Muslims ) race card to evoke white guilt. And me? I don't feel any white guilt toward these people. They didn't come here in chains like black people... and we don't "owe" them. If they don't like it here - if they don't like us - they can go back to the wonderful countries they came from...

When the local police comes around to our synagogues to help protect us Jews, it is because there was a threat AGAINST us, not because a Jew was shooting up a roomful of people.
When there are actual threats to the safety of the Muslim community, protect them with extra force. Until then, protect the ACTUAL victims.
