BEIRUT — Anne Frank's diary has been censored out of a school textbook in Lebanon following a campaign by the militant group Hezbollah claiming the classic work promotes Zionism.
The row erupted after Hezbollah learned excerpts of "The Diary of Anne Frank" were included in the textbook used by a private English-language school in western Beirut.
Frank wrote the diary while her family hid from Nazi police and sympathizers in an Amsterdam attic from 1942 to 1944.
She later died in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp at the age of 15, and the diary was published posthumously.

One of our Parish Priests lived across the street from her. He said he came home from school one day and everyone in the neighborhood was gone.
Because the house at Prinsengracht 263 in Amsterdam is the 412th holiest spot in Islam and having a Jew hiding there is just another example of their rampant Zionism. < Oy! It's sarcasm>

Interesting, I never heard that the whole neighborhood was taken. I often wonder how people would respond today if faced with very similar events. Are we any smarter today in
how we would respond to this?
For a bunch of terrorists, these people sure have an awful
lot of holy spots!

You also see in this little example the huge principal divergence of Judeo-Christian values and Islam. A deed is right or wrong for Jews and Christians regardless of who is the object of the deed. In Islam, the same deed may be a wrong if committed against a Muslim and not a wrong otherwise. In this case, the suffering and subsequent death of this girl, young and completely apolitical, does not evoke any empathy because she was a Jewess. Were she a Muslim, they'd be in the streets demanding that Frank's offenders be beheaded.
The recent shooting of our brave soldiers stems from the same root: the murderer's loyalty is to Muslims --- in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere --- but not to the country where he was born and raised. Only because it is not a Muslim country.
