Republican Dede Scozzafava endorsed her former Democratic opponent Sunday in the race for an upstate New York congressional seat, one day after Scozzafava dropped out of the contest.
Scozzafava dropped out after Conservative Party candidate Dough Hoffman experienced a late-in-the-game surge. But on Sunday, Scozzafava backed Democrat Bill Owens -- the announcement was made in a statement send out by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
"I am supporting Bill Owens for Congress and urge you to do the same," she said. "In Bill Owens, I see a sense of duty and integrity that will guide him beyond political partisanship. He will be an independent voice devoted to doing what is right for New York. Bill understands this district and its people, and when he represents us in Congress he will put our interests first."

Well, I’m not sure they’ll ask for it back. After all she did endorse the person closes to her point of view. The GOP should be very happy about that.

Scuzzy is a traitor. It is excellent to have flushed her out.
There were 11 county party leaders across the district who chose scuzzy. The pubs in those 11 county divisions should begin action TODAY to remove those leaders immediately. Hoffman had his name on the slate and was passed over because the leadership wanted a candidate that would likely draw in some moderate and rat votes.
They need to pay the price for pandering to the rats at the price of platform standards. Oh, they’ll offer the excuse that they wanted to make sure not to lose the seat since zero picked off the pub holding that seat to go be secty of the army or something with the hope of replacing him with a rat, but to pick someone like scuzzy who is for all practical purposes a rat, which she just proved by throwing her support to Owens, is beyond the pale and beyond stupidity. Look at what they’ve created by doing what they did. F’ing morons.
Let’s not forget Susan Collins and the obscure RINO Congresswoman that endorsed Scurvo; as well...oh; and Mark Davis. He should have a GREAT show in Dallas tomorrow.
It’s a big district, I doubt anyone will know until late Tuesday or early Wednesday.

That "strategy" will only make the Republicans look even more clueless as they talk about her stepping aside for the good of the party, and then she sticks the knife in all their collective backs.
