Blacks still drawn to Islam despite FBI raids

By now, Sekou Jackson is used to the questions: Why does he need to leave a work meeting to pray? Don't black Muslims convert to Islam in jail? Why would you even want to be Muslim?

"It's kind of a double whammy to be African-American and Muslim," said Jackson, who studies the Navy at the National Academy of Science in Washington. "You're going to be judged."

Jackson's struggle may have gotten harder when the FBI raided a Detroit mosque Wednesday, saying its leader preached hate against the government, trafficked in stolen goods and belonged to a radical group that wants to establish a Muslim state in America. The mosque's imam, a black American named Luqman Ameen Abdullah, was killed in a shootout with agents.

Yes to your post, and as the article stated: "Few white Americans convert to Islam "because the tendency is to view Islam as foreign," he said. "For African-Americans, it's part of their African heritage. There's a long tradition (in Africa). ... It moves them away from the Christianity they saw as a slave religion, as the religion that legitimized their slavery."

That goes to the crux of the issue and of the current divide, imo. The history given in the article was cursory, and omitted that communists in America joined forces with the civil rights movement in the 50s.

There is a confluence within the Left of Islam, black liberation and communism/marxism.

Mohammed dreamed up this “religion” in order to create power and wealth for himself. So as to attract to his employ the thugs and criminals necessary to get the job done, he decided that all followers of Allah would be permitted to kill anybody who stood in their way, steal all of their stuff and have their way with their women. In other words, blacks today are being told it’s absolutely HOLY to kill Whitey, steal his stuff and take his women. Yep. Beat’s ME why they would join up!

Slavery was also a part of and still is (in some areas) a part of African culture, not to mention nearly every culture on the face of earth since the dawn of time.
