Daily Prayer for America (Thurs 10-29-09)

America has been greatly blessed by God and has stood as the greatest country in the history of the world for over 200 years. America has many foreign and domestic enemies that are seeking her destruction.

This thread is a daily call and reminder for people of faith who believe in God and in the power of prayer to make a commitment to intercede for America at this critical time in her history

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

David built an altar to the LORD there and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then the LORD answered prayer in behalf of the land, and the plague on Israel was stopped.

Almighty God, Who has given us this good land for our heritage; We humbly beseech Thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of Thy favor and glad to do Thy will. Bless our land with honorable ministry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion, from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people, the multitude brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endow with Thy spirit of wisdom those whom in Thy name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that through obedience to Thy law, we may show forth Thy praise among the nations of the earth. Heavenly Father, you are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, the Most High God. I come before you with pain in my heart and fear for my country. It is through your hands that this nation was set in place and you have watched over us in times of great joy and times of extreme peril. Forgive us for straying from your protection and refusing your love. Look not at our wrongdoing but instead see our contrite hearts. Lead us into paths of righteousness and away from sinfulness. Have mercy on us and save us from the usurper that is ravaging our land. Though we do not deserve your presence please do not abandon us. Be with us now and hold each of our military in the palm of your hand. Keep them safe and bring them home in victory when their work is done. Hear us, oh Lord, and bring justice and peace to all who place their faith in you. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Beloved Father,

Thank You for Your many Blessings. You have given Americans a wonderful life and in return, we have rebelled against You and are now trying to shove You out of America.

We have made many mistakes in our short lives, but rejecting You is the worst thing we ever did. We can see that You have withdrawn Your hand of Blessing and protection, and now we have evil men and women in our government who are trying to silence You and they want to silence us. They think if we are gone, there won't be a constant reminder that they have sinned against You.

Persecution against Christians in America is just beginning but we know they're going to push through tough laws against us serving You. Of course, You already know that because You know their minds and the intentions of their hearts.

Abba, please forgive us of our sins, and deliver us from all evil. Help us to forsake those sins, so they don't come back on us again. We confess that we are weak, but we acknowledge that we are strong through Christ Jesus, who strengthens us, so we ask You to strengthen us so that we can walk according to Your Will and plans for our lives. Show us how we can serve You in these End Times. We know there are many who are lost and need to be Saved. Please give us all a bold Spirit and bring the unsaved into our paths so we can lead them into Salvation.

We pray that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit over all Muslims so that they would turn away from the false god that they serve. We know that it is not Your intention that anyone would perish, but those people are such fanatics that it's dangerous for anyone to speak against allah. Open their blinded eyes and deafened ears and prepare their hearts so that when Your workers tell them the truth about Your free gift of Salvation that they will see and hear the truth and it will fall down into a prepared heart so they can be Saved.

We ask You to protect our soldiers who are fighting in the war on terror. Please reveal where the enemy has placed bombs that are intended to maime and kill our troops. We ask that you be with their families while they are gone. Please comfort the families who have lost loved ones in this war, and give them strength in the difficult times ahead.

Father we submit these prayers to You and ask You to find favor with our requests in the name of Jesus. Thank You Lord. Amen!!

2 Chronicles 6:36
