Clinton was damn lucky that some other intern who wasn’t “servicing” him (assuming for the sake of argument such a person or persons exist) didn’t make a similar accusation. And unless Vernon Jordan was schlepping every White House intern all over DC and its environs in search of high paying jobs, they would have every grounds to make such an argument.
It was an unpaid position. However Bill Clinton’s team got Monica a 6-figure salary at one of Ron Pearlman’s firms that she was unqualified for in exchange for her lying under oath.
So there probably COULD be a case made against Ron Perlman by one of his employees or job applicants.

I have read, since this whole Letterman story broke, that Jimmy Kimmel is dating one of his writers. Carson Daly, actually impregnated one of his staffers and Conan O'Brien married a woman who was an actress/skit player on his show.
It seems as if Letterman's behavior is standard operating procedure in the late night biz - and probably all of Hollywood.

And this, Boys & Girls, is why ESPN fired Steve Phillips. These kind of affairs are not totally victimless, or ‘cute’ as David Letterman would have them portrayed. Plus you open your employer up to all kinds of civil actions.
I guess in Letterman’s case, he is essentially self-employed. If a suit does result the defendants will likely be Letterman himself, and his production company “World Wide Pants.” It’ll be settled.
