The GOP needs to shed its image as the "old white guy party," Jeb Bush said this week.
Speaking at George Washington University, Bush said Republicans need to reach out to a more diverse group of voters.
"You don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize that in order for a political party to be successful it has to reach out to everyone," Bush said, according to the GW Hatchet. "In politics, you never win when you say 'us and them.' We need a more welcoming message."

Interesting, after these old and becoming more demented RINOs got theirs, they seem to have resigned from reality sounds a little bit racist to be making statements about the color of anyones skin plus a somewhat biased against the elderly. If they are addressing population demographics, well then start being Conservative and Americans first, the rest will fall in line! Not only did Ronald Reagan prove this, he made asses out of everyone of you RINOs, being the un-American human debris (aka POS) that you are.
With that said how about all you old white guys which are showing signs of mental disorders, instead of calling your selves Republicans change your party affiliations and get out of the way to let the other half of America fix the problems you created.
Can I just say this. The things that “white people” believe in are universal. God, Freedom, The Pursuit of Happiness, Morals etc. Why do they think that is a “white mans” belief. I believe ALL people want this. Black, Brown, Red, Blue, And White. I guess “white people” need to learn how to spread the msg. better.

Hey Jeb. We are tired of the Bushes.
Go away.
And we are in the pickle we're in because you, Jeb, and your brother, George W., and your dad, George H.W. never bothered to advance the cause of conservatism.
The reason we're all "old, white guys" -- in your vernacular -- is that the Bushes never turned a finger to recruit the young, the female, the black and the tan to conservative principles.
Pragmatism is NOT a principle.
I respect your family's service to our country, sir, but it didn't do a damn thing for conservatism in general or the Republican Party in particular.
Buzz off.
Yeah; it's old white guys, and a hell of lot more who didn't live long enough to get old...as well as a bunch of old black, red, and yellow guys... that are responsible for you speaking Rhinoese & Spanglish, rather than Japagerman, Jeb; so STFU.
That list is a good start for old white guys the GOP should dump. Bring on the young women like Palin and Bachman.
So Jeb, I take it that you are going to support Rubio over Crist now?
Okay. How's this one:
"We stand firmly against socialism in any form. Communism diminishes the human spirit and fails wherever it is tried. We are rabidly against the fascism and government control expoused by the current administration. We stand for families, morality, and honor."
I think you're right -- but it won't be just the GOP. I think the whole country is more than ripe for a complete realignment. I've no idea how long the whole process will take or how it will all shake out, but I think it's coming. Both parties seem to have a sclerotic leadership that has little to do with the people they purport to represent.
Jeb need never fear being elected a President.
YOU SUCK.
Go crawl in to a toilet and flush.
Moderates, by definition, cannot, do not, and will never lead. They wait to see which way the crowd is going, then try to jump in front.
We as a nation cannot afford any more traitors in high office, whether they label themselves D or R.
“Im fast becoming an old white guy and I find his disdain to be offensive.”
Damn right. You, me, and millions of others. We’d hear justifiable howls of outrage if any politician talked about “old Mexican men” or “old black men” as undesirables. Pi$$ on you Jeb, and anyone who thinks like you.
What does “reach out to everyone” mean? Only thing I can figure is this means
giving “free”stuff to more people thru more gov’t programs.
Any other ideas about what “reaching out” might mean?
Don't get the criticism of Jeb Bush. Sounds like a Palin endorsement to me.
I love this!!
“We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates
who are pledged to the same goals
as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldnt make any sense at all.”
When the recession of the Carter years ended, it ended for everyone. When the Cold War ended, it ended for everyone. Welfare reform helped everyone.
The GOP must show that it's ideas benefit everyone, without resorting to the divide and conquer pandering of the Dems.
If it means adapting our values to theirs, then go jump in a lake....................
Like the Dems, who give everyone what they want and have so far managed to hold together some sort of forced coalition of groups whose interests don't mesh all that much and are sometimes downright antagonistic?
How about we come up with clear and concise arguments about why we think we really are right and good for the whole country, try to persuade and convince all sorts of people that our way makes sense . . . sort of like Sarah Palin is doing? Or doesn't she count, since she's not an old white man?
No?
It's working quite well for the democrats.
