Nicole Kidman conceded Wednesday that Hollywood has probably contributed to violence against women by portraying them as weak sex objects.

The Oscar-winning actress said she is not interested in those kinds of demeaning roles, adding that the movie industry also has made an effort to contribute to solutions for ending the violence.

Translation: She's getting too old for those roles anyway.

Oh and running around nude in movies didn’t portray them as weak sex objects, right?

I think Nicole Kidman is good looking beyond a shadow of doubt. I also believe Nicole Kidman wouldn’t know what real life was if it slapped her in the mouth.

Kidman testified before a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee that is considering legislation to address violence against women overseas through humanitarian relief efforts and grants to local organizations working on the problem.

Is this a joke? Is the American taxpayer on the hook for every pet cause some dimwit in Congress dreams up? $10 million for education in Cambodia. $400,000 to study gay sexual habits in Argentina. Now instead of worrying about violence against women here in our own country we are funding organizations to prevent it overseas.

She doesn’t need to take any of those demeaninr roles anymore...because she already made her money by taking those roles as well as marrying rich.

Actually, Hollywood loves to portray women as unrealistically powerful sex objects.
