These kind of parents exist in America too.

They're called 'helicopter parents' cause they hover over their children ALL the time!

We were talking about this with our oldest son and his fiance the other night. He was thanking us for NOT being this way. He had too many friends in high school and college who can't stand their parents now because they just bothered them ALL the time!

Why would you advocate taking a child from a mother who loves him? Why is the FIRST reaction always to terminate a parent’s rights. As long as I live, I will never understand this!
She may need emotional help and she may be seriously misguided. If she wants to keep her son she should be given the chance. Someone needs to help this family not destroy them.
There is no reason she can’t learn to function. Maybe she is afraid. I doubt her son would be better off in government care.

Why is it on this site that everyone hates the government and their involvement in anything until it comes to CPS, one of the most out of control government agencies out there? I doubt you think the government is doing a good job with education, the post office, the dmv. That is why we don’t want the government involved in healthcare. Do you trust them when it comes to the life of this child?

There are FAR too many children in the foster care system, ones that could be at home with families that just need counseling, financial help, parent classes. The ones that truly need it are sometimes sent back to homes where they don’t make it out alive. Some that were never abused at home come out of foster care physically and sexually abused.

This is people’s lives were are talking about. It makes me angry that people take the termination of parental rights so lightly!. How would you feel if they came for your children? And NO, I have never had a personal run in with CPS, not even a phone call. I am personal friends with our sheriff, prosecuting attorney and many of the social workers in our town. I have never had an abortion either but I am nonetheless passionate about that subject as well.

The fascist mentality is everywhere, and this site is no exception.

Don't worry, Luca will turn out just fine. (Well, until Sollozzo has him whacked)
