Children & Families Suffered in Mao Purges (Anita Dunn's Beloved "1947" of China Reviewed)
Telegraph UK ^ | 31 October 2008 | Malcom Moore

Posted on 10/16/2009 6:39:02 AM PDT by AmericanInTokyo

According to "Mao, the Unknown Story", a biography of the dictator by Jung Chang, the fight against the landlords was drawn up between March and June 1947 by Kang Sheng, an expert on terror tactics. "Kang told the cadres and activists to treat whole families as targets, even children," writes Chang. "He stood by smiling when village children beat up 'little landlords' as children from the wrong families were called." The campaign widened to include many people who were enemies of the Party, or of their local villages, but not necessarily landed rich...

This part, if Glen and his staff were a little bit more knowledgeable of the internal Chinese Communist Party history, and particulary the "1947" period Comrade Anita Dunn of the White House so BOLDLY proclaimed to the D.C.-area high school students this summer in her reference to Mao Zedong, may well have jumped out of the video at them.

I believe the Maryland-elite Red Guard's comments in the Washington National Cathedral were:

"In 1947, when Mao Zedong was being challenged within his own party on his plan to basically take China over, Chiang Kai-shek and the Nationalist Chinese held the cities, they had the army, they had the air force, they had everything on their side. And people said, "How can you win? How can you do this? How can you do this against all of the odds against you?" And Mao Zedong said, you know, "You fight your war, and I'll fight mine." And think about that for a second." (End Quote)

I personally believe one and maybe THE reason this lady mentioned 1947 so highbrow-ish, pronounced and specifically to those poor high school kids is that she, too, coming from an educated, elite Marxist Revolutionary position quite familiar with Modern Chinese history knows that--just as she asserted--that year in fact represented pivotal internal struggles within the CCP, and represented the biggest ramp up of terror and it's political tactics to win the Communist Revolution at any cost.

Now, on Friday morning, I say to the various apologists and spinners for the Obama White House's Ms. Dunn and her disgusting, unacceptable public words, HOW DOES MS. DUNN's "1947", which she spouts so energetically, have anything to do with "mere philosophy" or "choices" as you parse words?

In my own estimation and maybe sensing of things, I believe herein lies why she does really in fact admire Mao, and has thought it over thoroughly through the years. Again, we need only study just 1947, a year in which I found other references detailing the Chinese Communist Party was internally divided as to how radical it needed to get, including significant escalation of of political purges. Chairman Mao Zedong was on the considerably more bloody, terror side of that division in that year.

So apparantly is admirer Anita Dunn.

Go ahead. Watch the Anita Dunn tape again. Why in the hell is this person even in the White House?

Stop the Federal Usurpation

Time to tell Washington to STFU - Stop The Federal Usurpation. Federal usurpation of individual state rights continues to erode and to limit the ability of state governments to operate according to their own citizen's directives. Since, as the original intent of the Constitution directed, the best government is one which governs closer to the people and Federal Usurpation is the greatest threat we face today, it is time to tell Washington to STFU.

If she admires his “philosophy in a general, academic sense”, (which is bad enough and she will probably try to use to wiggle out of), then why the big emphasis by her on the Internal Situation of the Chinese Communist Party in 1947. It was when she threw that year out, and the way she did, that I almost dropped the pizza from the microwave.

Excellent point.

But many of these radicals were/are Maoist revolutionaries. Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), the Weather Underground, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, the Black Panthers, the Black Liberation Army, Farrakhan’s so-called “Nation of Islam”, etc.

It saddens me that so many people will hear this news and say "meh". Most Americans have a natural revulsion to Hilter (as they should) but don't bat an eyelash at Mao, who makes Hitler look like a damn piker.

BTW, I hope someone in Glenn's staff noticed the "lizard tongue" and is checking her background for possible drug abuse...

Apparently you think being a communist is a negative.

As an aside, it occurs to me that obama has never been asked point blank what his political and economic philosophies are, and why he holds them.

Barack Obama is a communist, just like his scum father. Whichever one that may be.

Perhaps Anita Dunn should have listened to the Beatles; with her appreciation for the mass murdering Mao, it sounds more like she listened instead to Charles Manson and the Family Jam.

Millions More Movement rally
Washington D.C., October 15, 2005
Louis Farrakhan speech

Louis Farrakhan, at the Millions More Movement rally in DC, Oct 15, 2005: "...what Mao Tse Tung did was, he went to the cultural community, and they [Farrakhan spreads his arms beneficently] accepted his idea."... "Mao Tse Tung ... had a billion people whose lives he had to transform."..."the idea of Mao Tse Tung became the idea of a billion people, and China became a world power on the base of the culture and the arts community. If we had a ministry of art and culture in every city we'd create this movement [in the U.S.]."

Re: Millions More Movement rally, Oct 15, 2005:

Unity generates power to change reality
By the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan

"The time has never been more ripe for a strategic relationship between the Black, Brown, Native American and the poor of this nation and the world."

"We need a Ministry of Defense. Our young men are born soldiers, but they are in the wrong war. They are fighting a war in the streets of America against each other, or they are fighting an unjust war overseas in Afghanistan and Iraq. We need to bring our boys home and put them into the Ministry of Defense, so we can defend our communities, rather than destroy our communities.

We need a Ministry of Art and Culture. We applaud the hip hop community, the leaders of young people all over the world, but I want the young generation of artists to know there is a bigger purpose for art and culture than popping our fingers and shaking our backsides. Mao Tse Tung, throughout his long march to conquer China, had a billion people whose lives he had to transform. Many of them were victims of opium, drugs and prostitution, like we are. But Mao Tse Tung went to the cultural community and they accepted his idea. Then, through song, dance, poetry, drama, documentaries, movies and books, the idea of Mao Tse Tung became the idea of a billion people. China became a world power on the base of culture and the artistic community. If we had a Ministry of Art and Culture in every city, [we'd] create this movement [in the U.S.], we could say to our young people, “What is the idea of the Time and are you reflecting that idea in your songs, dance and music?

We need a Ministry of Trade and Commerce. Do you think that a Millions More Movement should not be involved in the development of Africa, the Caribbean and Central America? ... we need a Ministry of Trade and Commerce that can link the struggle here with Africa and the Caribbean, Central and South America.

RE: Obama's (former) "Green Jobs Czar", Van Jones

Van Jones became a revolutionary communist following the 1992 L.A./Rodney King Riots (58 dead)
various sources

"Jones was arrested during the L.A. riots and spent a short time in jail. "I met all these young radical people of color," he recalls, 'I mean really radical: communists and anarchists. And it was, like, "This is what I need to be a part of." I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary.'..."

From David Horowitz's FrontpageMag.com /DiscoverTheNetworks.org:

"Throughout its history, one of RCP's [Revolutionary Communist Party] principal objectives has been to foment civil unrest in the United States. The most notable example of such efforts occurred on April 29, 1992, when RCP members looted and trashed the downtown and government districts of Los Angeles, triggering the infamous Rodney King riots. During the days immediately preceding the violence, RCP -- which maintained close ties to the L.A. gangs known as the Crips and the Bloods -- had circulated throughout South Central Los Angeles a leaflet featuring a statement by RCP National Spokesman Carl Dix, titled 'It's Right To Rebel' -- a quote popularized by Mao Zedong.

Encouraged by Dix, RCP activists helped lead the riots that would leave 58 people dead, more than 2,300 people injured, some 5,300 buildings burned, and $1 billion in property damaged or destroyed. On the ten-year anniversary of the rioting, RCP member Joseph Veale fondly recalled the violence as 'the most beautiful, the most heroic civil action in the history of the United States.'"

The RCP calls for the armed overthrow of the U.S. government...

From the website of the Revolutionary Communist Party (revcom.us or rwor.org) :

"Create Public Opinion, Seize Power: We are preparing minds and organizing forces for the time when there is a major crack in the system, whenever it comes and wherever it comes from: an opening that makes it possible to bring the future Revolutionary Army of the Proletariat (R.A.P.) into the field and wage a revolutionary armed struggle that actually has a chance of winning.

And we have said that building our party itself is the most important part of organizing forces for revolution. This is true now, and it is true looking forward to the creation of that future R.A.P. and the waging of that armed struggle.":

That you have members of the Obama administration openly declaring
that Mao is one of their "favorite philosophers" shows you the kind
of kooks and lunatics that are running the government now.
"Lunatics running the asylum."

Then there's the "science czar" who wants to dope the water supply
with anti-fertility sterilization drugs for coercive population control.
And they're fact-checking the Saturday Night Live skits?

Undercover agent Larry Grathwohl discusses the Weather Underground's post-revolution governing plans for the United States:

Larry Grathwohl:

"I asked, 'well what is going to happen to those people we can't reeducate, that are diehard capitalists?' and the reply was that they'd have to be eliminated. And when I pursued this further, they estimated they would have to eliminate 25 million people in these reeducation centers. And when I say 'eliminate,' I mean 'kill.' Twenty-five million people. I want you to imagine sitting in a room with 25 people, most of which have graduate degrees, from Columbia and other well-known educational centers, and hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination of 25 million people. And they were dead serious."

Wrong. Lennon was pro-revolution, and an admirer of Mao.

The Lost John Lennon Interview
"Power to the People"

TA (interviewer): In a way you were even thinking about politics when you seemed to be knocking revolution?

JL (Lennon): Ah, sure, 'Revolution' . There were two versions of that song but the underground left only picked up on the one that said 'count me out'. The original version which ends up on the LP said 'count me in' too; I put in both because I wasn't sure. There was a third version that was just abstract, musique concrete, kind of loops and that, people screaming. I thought I was painting in sound a picture of revolution--but I made a mistake, you know. The mistake was that it was anti-revolution.

On the version released as a single I said 'when you talk about destruction you can count me out'. I didn't want to get killed. I didn't really know that much about the Maoists, but I just knew that they seemed to be so few and yet they painted themselves green and stood in front of the police waiting to get picked off. I just thought it was unsubtle, you know. I thought the original Communist revolutionaries coordinated themselves a bit better and didn't go around shouting about it. That was how I felt--I was really asking a question. As someone from the working class I was always interested in Russia and China and everything that related to the working class, even though I was playing the capitalist game.

Repeatedly, we hear the left aligning itself with philosophies and regimes that engage in violent repression, torture, genocide and politicly motivated murder. Given their hostility toward Israel and endorsement of mass murder, one wonders why they don’t embrace Hitler and the Nazis. Is America going to be another country that allows its people to be herded into concentration camps and gas chambers while they cling to the fantasy that it can’t happen to them?

Re: Lennon was pro-revolution, and an admirer of Mao.

Clarification: Lennon thought that his fellow revolutionaries couldn’t gain public support if they went around openly praising Mao. He was pro-revolution, but he was just smart enough to realize that they wouldn’t stand a chance against the U.S. military, police and various other concerned citizens. I guess what he really wanted was a bloodless communist overthrow like we got in Nov 2008.
