Sources at the Iranian opposition said that the spiritual leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has died. The Iranian police have increased their activities in the streets of Teheran recently. For the time being, it is known that Khamenei lost consciousness on Monday afternoon and was hospitalized. Only his son and personal therapist have the right to visit Ayatollah at hospital. Khamenei reportedly lapsed into coma, although spokespeople for the Iranian opposition say that the spiritual leader has passed away. The Iranian administration has not commented the situation yet. Several western publications said that the information about Khameneis death could not be regarded as trustworthy, although the rumors may eventually prove to be true. At least, the Iranians did not conceal the poor state of health of the 70-year-old spiritual leader of the nation.

Whoa....starting the day with good news!
So who will succeed him? His son Mujtaba has been behind the election unrest and has always wanted the job.
Rafsanjani has always wanted the job as well, and he wants to be darn sure Mujtaba doesn’t get it.
Montazeri would’ve had the job had Khamenei not gotten in the way. Khamenei put him under house arrest, but now he’s dead.
Lots of possibilities here...

The Assembly of Experts chooses a new Supreme Leader, and Rafsanjani heads the A of E. He hates Ahmadinejad and has been criticizing Khamenei lately. If he or Montazeri gets the job, they may declare the election invalid, boot out Ahmadinejad, and put in Musavi.

Montazeri would have been dead if Rafsanjani had not run interference. Khamenei tied putting a death sentence on Montazeri. Would Rafsanjani defer to Montazeri? Or does Montazeri “owe him one”?

Geez. I saw that headline and happily thought something had happened to Amanutjob. This is far better. Ahmadinejad is Khamenei's sock puppet.

The new moon is on December 16th and Bibi has said he is prepared to attack Iran if sanctions aren’t in place in December. I doubt the power struggle in Iran will be clearly straightened out in 2 months. Sounds like opportunity knocking for Israel.

Alley Hamandeggs is dead?
Does anyone remember `Mad Max : Beyond Thunderdome`, where a small guy sat on the shoulders of a gigantic fellow, and directed the big guy`s actions? They were collectively called `Master-Blaster`. When the big guy died in a fight, at the hands of Mel Gibson's character, they realized he was a mental deficient.
This time the master, Hamandeggs, had died and the blaster, Ahmannutjob has no one to direct him. So he will fling about aimlessly, with his `fissionable materials`
As was said above, there is a new moon on Dec 16, and Bibi... `Dont take no s**t` ... we have to tread carefully here. Israel will do what it has to do... Merry Christmas.
