Kenyan-born Obama all set for US Senate

Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.

The allegations that horrified fellow Republicans and caused his once-promising candidacy to implode in four short days have given Obama a clear lead as Republicans struggled to fetch an alternative.

Ryan’s campaign began to crumble on Monday following the release of embarrassing records from his divorce. In the records, his ex-wife, Boston Public actress Jeri Ryan, said her former husband took her to kinky sex clubs in Paris, New York and New Orleans.

Barrack Obama "It’s clear to me that a vigorous debate on the issues most likely could not take place if I remain in the race," Ryan, 44, said in a statement. "What would take place, rather, is a brutal, scorched-earth campaign – the kind of campaign that has turned off so many voters, the kind of politics I refuse to play."

Although Ryan disputed the allegations, saying he and his wife went to one ‘avant-garde’ club in Paris and left because they felt uncomfortable, lashed out at the media and said it was "truly outrageous" that the Chicago Tribune got a judge to unseal the records.

The Republican choice will become an instant underdog in the campaign for the seat of retiring Republican Senator Peter Fitzgerald, since Obama held a wide lead even before the scandal broke.

"I feel for him actually," Obama told a Chicago TV station. "What he’s gone through over the last three days I think is something you wouldn’t wish on anybody."

The Republican state committee must now choose a replacement for Ryan, who had won in the primaries against seven contenders. Its task is complicated by the fact that Obama holds a comfortable lead in the polls and is widely regarded as a rising Democratic star.

The chairwoman of the Illinois Republican Party, Judy Topinka, said at a news conference, after Ryan withdrew, that Republicans would probably take several weeks to settle on a new candidate.

"Obviously, this is a bad week for our party and our state," she said.

As recently as Thursday, spokesmen for the Ryan campaign still insisted that Ryan would remain in the race. Ryan had defended himself saying, "There’s no breaking of any laws. There’s no breaking of any marriage laws. There’s no breaking of the Ten Commandments anywhere."

If this was a real AP story, it would have appeared in many US papers, right? Can one research the papers archives and verify this as real or not?

We saw Jeri Ryan in a TV show (Leverage), and I explained to my daughter that the actress was the reason that Obama was President.

No idea..i’m just the messenger, this is from a web archive, I saw it on blog this AM, apparently just surfaced—of course it could be a creation...needs to be verfied, which supposedly is going on now.

Kind of like those two articles that “disappeared’ about Obama meeting w/ Blago on the senate seat.

There is so much eye-watering corruption swirling around Obama.

Funny I used Jack Ryan and Obama story when I talked to my son about the importance of keeping it in your pants.

Many say Ryan could have won but I still doubt it. Zer0 still would have outspent him by a large margin, and IL went heavily for Kerry. I think they were just in a Demo mood again that year.

As of Sunday the news outlet, based in Africa was still claiming kenyon birth/roots for the dear leader.

‘It seems Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States of America (via a sleepy village in Kenya called Nyang’oma K’Ogelo) can do no wrong.’

Jack Ryan was stupid. He was married to one of the most beautiful women in the world. Why would any sane person risk that?

It won’t matter. They could trot out the witch doctor that delivered him with pictures and video, none of that would budge him out of the Oval Office. He is here for the next seven years. Take a look at the race in NJ. Corzine is now even with Christie. The mainstream media along with the dopes who vote will keep this travesty of a president in power.

That’s the village of his alleged ancestors, not necessarily him.

I wouldn't go thinking this is the smoking gun.

To say this is the AP is disingenuous.

Keep digging though. There's something he's hiding.

Look at the original article, not just the FR posting. It apparently comes from the Standard, Ltd of Kenya and the copyright notice at the bottom indicates the Standard, Ltd owns the copyright. Then the letters “AP” appear later. From that, I suspect the AP acquired the rights to publisher the article over its wire but the Standard is the actual originator. The Standard being Kenyan, that's another bit of evidence that Obama was born in Kenya.

If this was a real AP story, it would have appeared in many US papers, right? Can one research the papers archives and verify this as real or not?

Obama,Inc. would dismiss this in a heartbeat; just as they have dismissed more current references to his being 'Kenyan born' as simply an understandable overreach; or just confusion because of his Father being Kenyan. . .and no doubt this 'clarification' has been added - and removed - many times in writings about Obama. The newspaper is Kenyan and story probably written by foreign AP staff.

As for not reading it here; well. . .could easily have gotten that rewrite or 'correction' before it ever left wire. (Or has been added to create some controversy) Whatever; everything else in story is spot on.

Would agree with conclusion with the benefit of hindsight. The unprecedented opening/disclosure of Ryan divorce proceedings was America's first hard kick towards Eden's gate and our being tossed out. Obama not only has big ears; we know he has a big foot. America now engaged in a 'for life' struggle under 'Exit Only' sign.

The records thing amazing; particularly given what has been sealed from the world's eyes re Obama - who may easily be, Kenyan born. His lack of authentic patriotism/altruism make this conclusion an easy leap. And of course, the secrecy. . .the secrecy.
