What's interesting is that appears the world dodged a bullet with this, so far. While this strain seems remarkably virulent - much more so than seasonal flu, it's not as deadly. Although, it does appear to put children and pregnant women at measurably greater risk than the normal seasonal flu.
While I'm not sure the panic, or the anti-panic is justified, it is encouraging to learn that modern day vaccine technology can isolate the virus and engineer a vaccine and replicate that vaccine in sufficient quantities, so quickly.
